Assistant, Worldwide Publicity

Job Description
A major film studio is seeking an Assistant to join its worldwide publicity team. This role supports the Vice President of Worldwide Publicity and plays an essential part in developing and executing publicity campaigns for upcoming film releases. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced entertainment environment. Responsibilities include administrative coordination, campaign support, communication with filmmakers, and assistance with high-profile publicity events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including managing schedules, travel, calls, and daily organizational tasks

  • Assist with brainstorming, proofreading, and executing publicity campaigns

  • Coordinate travel and logistics for filmmakers and talent

  • Support negotiations for glam rates for talent and filmmakers

  • Assist with circulating tune-ins, drafting press materials, and managing daily press breaks

  • Submit and track expenses using CONCUR

  • Monitor daily industry news

  • Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and presentation materials

  • Maintain department documents such as media lists, contacts, and project files

  • Assist with public-facing events including premieres, screenings, award shows, and junkets

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in marketing or a related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a similar field preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with all levels of management

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking

  • Able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

  • Strong work ethic and proactive mindset

  • Knowledge of SAP and Concur preferred

Compensation

  • $43,000 – $45,000 annually

Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Assistant to provide administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer, Home Entertainment and Global Content Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support executive operationally and administratively by setting calendar meetings, handling phones, booking travel, and handling personal affairs
  • Assist and coordinate department meetings and events
  • Create spreadsheets and databases to organize information as needed
  • Roll high-level calls
  • Perform research and compile business information assigned by the executives
  • Update and maintain planning schedule for upcoming major releases
  • Support various departments across a large team
  • Handle executive interaction and professionalism as a corporate liaison for the executive
  • Other duties assigned as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and written skills, with strong organizational ability
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work well in a fast-paced, deadline drive environment
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with an ability to create professional design in each
  • Previous administrative experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Experience in project management and collaborations programs
  • Familiarity and interest in film and television industry with a focus in expanding Business Operations acumen
  • Experience supporting various departments across a large team and executive interaction/professionalism

Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Coordinator to report to the Sr. Manager, Sales Strategy & Planning in the Worldwide TV & Digital Distribution department. This position focuses on maintaining contractual output deal commitments as well as communicating/tracking new product for the domestic sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and circulate all output deal notices both internally and externally
  • Track dates, title information, and go-to-market strategies for new release/library films & series in both excel and internal systems
  • Compile avail reports and create tailored packages for clients
  • Attend meetings, take notes, and communicate information to key stakeholders including executives
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally on projects, including with sales, marketing, rights management, etc.
  • Trouble shoot rights data (identify and facilitate correction of rights in, rights out, or metadata errors) and ensure new titles are reflected correctly in availability platform
  • Update graphical sales tools for strategic windowing projects
  • Maintain greenlight submissions trackers
  • Support the domestic sales team on key and/or ad-hoc projects

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent organization, note taking, and attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, quality, and timeliness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess the ability to effectively multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced/dynamic environment
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of advanced formulas a plus
  • Ability to analyze and understand large sets of data
  • Highly motivated with an aptitude to learn quickly, take accountability for tasks, and proactively anticipate needs
  • An understanding of the ever-evolving TV distribution landscape and a strong interest in the business side of entertainment
