Responsibilities

You will be responsible for refining and championing the brand’s creative vision across all consumer touchpoints, including brand identity, packaging, visual merchandising, print collateral, social assets, digital and non digital media content, and paid media assets

Work on the brand’s creative expression across all 360 marketing touchpoints, including product launch campaigns, social, content, website, in-store signage, and visual merchandising

Lead campaign development and execution, including ideating and refining concepts in partnership with copywriter, developing content capture plans, planning shoot production with internal and external resources, and delivering launch asset toolkit to support channel needs (field, retail, social, paid media, digital)

Sr Art Director

We are hiring a Sr Art Director who is fluent in creative strategy, design, culture, and is invested in challenging the status quo. This person has expertise in leading teams to conceptualize extraordinary ideas and translating them to stories that resonate directly with the vision our clients have for shaping industries.

The ideal candidate is an interdisciplinary thinker with creative (visual, photo, film, design) expertise who will be responsible for deciphering our client’s goals alongside the strategy director and account team, and leading teams through research, ideation and concept development and execution. The Sr Art Director will be responsible for creating and executing creative ideas across various new and existing clients, in various channels and using each client’s distinctive visual style. As a Sr Art Director, you have crafted quality work in the spaces of advertising, social media, conceptual campaigns, product launches, branding, photography, film and video. You believe in the power of a great idea, and you can tackle any job with a strategic point of view and excellent craft.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute concepts that align with the creative brief
  • Being a hands-on creative in addition to overseeing projects from concept to completion, internally and with external vendors

Experience + Skills

  • 4-6+ years of creative management experience
  • A portfolio that demonstrates creative strategy and execution across integrated marketing featuring digital, social, packaging, and experiential marketing
  • A comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem of an integrated cultural campaign and how a narrative (or concept) unfolds within each area such as digital, experiential, social media, OOH, etc.
  • A leader in guiding teams through the various stages of creative ideation from ambiguity to final concepts
  • An adept storyteller and presenter
  • Experience with budgeting and profitability tracking.
  • Communicates plainly and directly—with efficiency and insight.
  • The ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages, and economic backgrounds

Are you passionate about beauty? Do love creating unique packaging for beauty brands? The Art Director is responsible for creating sustainable, inspiring, innovative package design. This position is key to demonstrate creative vision, translate, evolve and own brand packaging by bringing concepts to life to and tell a story through design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce high-level, on strategy creative solutions that meet standards of creative excellence

• Develop original ideas and concepts that answer product briefs through multiple design solutions with consistency of being on target with objectives and brand strategy

• Review proposed designs with Design Director and SVP of Packaging prior to sharing with cross-functional teams to ensure design aesthetics and requirements are met

• Drive the execution of product branding by developing and managing consistent product and packaging codes across core products, line extensions, seasonal campaigns and promotions

• Drive package design development for upcoming programs/launches on designated brands

• Partner with product development and packaging teams to achieve the highest level of quality for each project- understanding limitations due to timing, costs, etc.

• Own presentation of packaging designs to cross-functional team, including development/completion of 3D renderings and comps

• Own the translation of approved master creative compositions and lay outs into the various sizes and formats needed for products while maintaining the original creative intent and specs (including dies, bleed, trim, type safety, resolution, color mode); effectively manage files to ensure accessibility for print specs

• Act as the liaison with Senior Production Artist to ensure artwork is delivered accurately and on-time

REQUIREMENTS

• Multi-disciplinary designer with 8+ years of overall experience in the beauty or fashion, packaging design experience required

• BA or BFA in Design, Arts, and/or Graphic Design

• Advanced/Expert Apple computer skills in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, with a specialty within Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

• Detail oriented designer who is comfortable with shifting design direction and working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and creative resolution skills

• Self-starter who will participates in all aspects of the programs from concept through execution

• Ability to quickly generate concepts and visually communicate those ideas with renderings and/or comps

• Ability to take initiative and know how to design ahead proactively without always being prompted

• Demonstrated ability to meet tight timelines and work productively in a team environment are required

• Excellent time management skills with ability to project manage workload autonomously is a must

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $60 to $85 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
