Goal Overview
To oversee the episodic assistants while providing support for production.
Associate Producer Responsibilities
Production Support
- Firsthand communication with Producers upon arrival and throughout the day.
- Keep the production team up to date on project status.
- Generate prep and post status reports.
- Working with the production team to manage project SAN space.
Assistants Team
- Ensure your assists have all the information and elements require to perform and complete their tasks.
- Evaluate and reprioritize tasks as needed to accommodate changes in the daily schedule.
- Organize your assistants’ tasks to ensure projects meet their deadlines.
Preparations for Projects/Sessions
- Assist producers in WO and task creation, job spec wrangling
- Actualizing and billing out work orders.
- Confirm all material needed for project has arrived and has been forwarded to the appropriate individual(s)
- Interface with client if required materials for jobs are missing (i.e. rough cut, drives, etc.)
- Coordinate with Operations the rental and installations of any additional resources needed for projects.
Execution of Job
- Ensure all resources assigned to job are available as scheduled
- Make sure projects are ready for sessions to begin on time.
- Verifying project prep for any issues and/or missing items, and communicating them with the Producer and client.
- Communicate all session changes to Producer
- Work with Producer and assistants to troubleshoot any session related problems
- Assist in greeting and escorting clients to the bays upon arrival.
- Assist in checking in on artists, clients, assists, and client services on a regular basis to make sure the session is well supported. The client should feel the producer’s presence and know that you are taking care of them.
Final Delivery
- Work with the vault to ensure delivery specs have been met
- Notify the Producer if any delivery deadlines that will or are in jeopardy of being missed
- Coordinate the archive of final VAM and CCM
Final Billing
- Ensuring all work orders and tasks are filled out and submitted, following up where needed.
- Actualize work orders for Producers sign off.
Virtual Sessions
- Setting up test feeds prior to session, including all face to face virtual interaction.
- Communicating with our Engineers if any network issues arise.
Engineering
- Engage Engineering staff to resolve urgent technical problems
- Ensure all rental resources are set-up and tested

The Role
Jellysmack is seeking a Freelance Digital Creative Associate Producer to join our growing Marquee team. They will work on various Jellysmack original series across all of our marquee verticals, with an emphasis on our development. The Associate Producer must have experience producing for social video platforms such as Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The Associate Producer will be a skilled short-form storyteller, and a problem solver, with a positive attitude. The ideal candidate excels in all aspects of production-from creative development to post-production. This Los Angeles-based position will report into the Director of Production and require cross-functional collaboration with our international offices.
The Responsibilities
- Work in all phases of digital production including: development, pre-production, production and post; able to own a formatted project from start to finish
- Analyze video data and performances to create strategy for new rounds of development
- Assist with shoots, helping to coordinate creative and talent whether on location or in studio
- Maintain production workflows and schedules, and multi-task between the needs of several simultaneous series
- Partner with Producers to manage and communicate the schedule and creative expectations of the production shoots
- Facilitate communication amongst various departments disseminating information regarding creative, deadlines and status updates; update internal trackers and project management documents as needed
- Work in lock step with centrally based Production Management to request, plan and schedule shoot resources; liaise regarding on set issues or problems

- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience working with native digital videoConcept, ideate, pitch, and produce creative for content across all social video platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), and best use cases
- Demonstrated ability in field and studio production, including shooting
- Comfortable working with a small crew and wearing multiple hats on set

Role Purpose:
The Director is responsible for all aspects of physical production in a deadline-oriented news-based environment. The position is focused on making sure our productions’ schedules, budgets, and workflows are aligned. The Director partners with both internal and external clients to develop production budgets/plans and then oversee the execution of the approved plans. The Director works with multiple creative personalities and will be expected to remain cool under daily deadline pressure, while managing several ongoing productions. The Director is also be responsible for guaranteeing day-to-day production operations are well-managed and on track. Position regularly reports into the VP of Production Management & Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Production Budgeting: Planning, coordination, and preparation of production budgets with Creative Executives, Talent/Casting, Business & Legal Affairs, Finance and HR. Budgets should meet creative/operational/resource expectations and financial objectives. Partner with producers to develop production plans in accordance with budget. Review & evaluate prepared and submitted budgets. Ensure weekly cost reports are generated and reviewed for accuracy before being sent to senior management. Partner with production accounting team to make sure invoices and payments are processed in a timely manner. Create, implement, and maintain consistent standards for tracking and reporting procedures and policies for all content deliverables.
- Production Management: Oversee production related activities on daily series to ensure productions are within budget parameters and consistent with creative expectations. Coordinate with Editorial, Business Affairs, Production Finance, Legal, HR and Creative Brand partners. Monitor production expenditures for accuracy, consistency and reasonableness. Stay up to date on various freelance crewing, vendors, and production technology. Perform overall production management role on all assigned projects, including assessment of production budget and schedule. Develop and manage internal timelines and workflows to guarantee timely delivery of shows.
- Risk Management, Safety & Compliance: Partner with Environmental Health & Safety to stay current on Covid safety & compliance protocols and make sure these are communicated to production teams. Oversee Covid coordinator supporting Covid testing and scheduling. Ensure production policies and procedures (HR, Legal, Finance, EHS related) are being adhered to and continually update internal production manuals. Have a familiarity with union/guild agreements and rules applicable to our productions and communicate issues to production teams. - Production Administration: Ensure Agreements are signed; Payroll is set-up & completed with various payroll services. Make sure permits & insurance documents are processed and secured when needed for field productions. Review & approve weekly timecards for talent and others. Oversee Production Coordinators and confirm they are supported and able to complete assignments & requests.
- Communication: Maintain consistent and professional communication across all clients and departments including Executive Producers, Talent, Marketing/Branded, Finance and Human Resources .

Character breakdowns:
CLONE 1 (Female, dark skinned or Black, 18-45) Modelesque and aloof, her movements are graceful and exact. When her face is caressed by her clone she is ignited, a sensation she expresses only with her face. Must dance. Open to all types but hip-hop and heels preferred.
