Job Description

Goal Overview

To oversee the episodic assistants while providing support for production.

Associate Producer Responsibilities

Production Support

  • Firsthand communication with Producers upon arrival and throughout the day.
  • Keep the production team up to date on project status.
  • Generate prep and post status reports.
  • Working with the production team to manage project SAN space.

Assistants Team

  • Ensure your assists have all the information and elements require to perform and complete their tasks.
  • Evaluate and reprioritize tasks as needed to accommodate changes in the daily schedule.
  • Organize your assistants’ tasks to ensure projects meet their deadlines.

Preparations for Projects/Sessions

  • Assist producers in WO and task creation, job spec wrangling
  • Actualizing and billing out work orders.
  • Confirm all material needed for project has arrived and has been forwarded to the appropriate individual(s)
  • Interface with client if required materials for jobs are missing (i.e. rough cut, drives, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Operations the rental and installations of any additional resources needed for projects.

Execution of Job

  • Ensure all resources assigned to job are available as scheduled
  • Make sure projects are ready for sessions to begin on time.
  • Verifying project prep for any issues and/or missing items, and communicating them with the Producer and client.
  • Communicate all session changes to Producer
  • Work with Producer and assistants to troubleshoot any session related problems
  • Assist in greeting and escorting clients to the bays upon arrival.
  • Assist in checking in on artists, clients, assists, and client services on a regular basis to make sure the session is well supported. The client should feel the producer’s presence and know that you are taking care of them.

Final Delivery

  • Work with the vault to ensure delivery specs have been met
  • Notify the Producer if any delivery deadlines that will or are in jeopardy of being missed
  • Coordinate the archive of final VAM and CCM

Final Billing

  • Ensuring all work orders and tasks are filled out and submitted, following up where needed.
  • Actualize work orders for Producers sign off.

Virtual Sessions

  • Setting up test feeds prior to session, including all face to face virtual interaction.
  • Communicating with our Engineers if any network issues arise.

Engineering

  • Engage Engineering staff to resolve urgent technical problems
  • Ensure all rental resources are set-up and tested

The Role

Jellysmack is seeking a Freelance Digital Creative Associate Producer to join our growing Marquee team. They will work on various Jellysmack original series across all of our marquee verticals, with an emphasis on our development. The Associate Producer must have experience producing for social video platforms such as Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The Associate Producer will be a skilled short-form storyteller, and a problem solver, with a positive attitude. The ideal candidate excels in all aspects of production-from creative development to post-production. This Los Angeles-based position will report into the Director of Production and require cross-functional collaboration with our international offices.


The Responsibilities

  • Work in all phases of digital production including: development, pre-production, production and post; able to own a formatted project from start to finish
  • Analyze video data and performances to create strategy for new rounds of development
  • Assist with shoots, helping to coordinate creative and talent whether on location or in studio
  • Maintain production workflows and schedules, and multi-task between the needs of several simultaneous series
  • Partner with Producers to manage and communicate the schedule and creative expectations of the production shoots
  • Facilitate communication amongst various departments disseminating information regarding creative, deadlines and status updates; update internal trackers and project management documents as needed
  • Work in lock step with centrally based Production Management to request, plan and schedule shoot resources; liaise regarding on set issues or problems

Requirements

The Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with native digital videoConcept, ideate, pitch, and produce creative for content across all social video platforms
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), and best use cases
  • Demonstrated ability in field and studio production, including shooting
  • Comfortable working with a small crew and wearing multiple hats on set
  • Ability to think critically and execute tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Highly detailed, organized, and planning-oriented, with exceptional follow-through, initiative, and time management skills

Role Purpose:
The Director is responsible for all aspects of physical production in a deadline-oriented news-based environment. The position is focused on making sure our productions’ schedules, budgets, and workflows are aligned. The Director partners with both internal and external clients to develop production budgets/plans and then oversee the execution of the approved plans. The Director works with multiple creative personalities and will be expected to remain cool under daily deadline pressure, while managing several ongoing productions. Responsibilities:

  • Production Budgeting: Planning, coordination, and preparation of production budgets with Creative Executives, Talent/Casting, Business & Legal Affairs, Finance and HR. Budgets should meet creative/operational/resource expectations and financial objectives. Partner with producers to develop production plans in accordance with budget. Review & evaluate prepared and submitted budgets. Ensure weekly cost reports are generated and reviewed for accuracy before being sent to senior management. We witness them interact with “themselves”, dance singularly and collectively, and in so doing playfully highlight the latex.

Character breakdowns: 
CLONE 1 (Female, dark skinned or Black, 18-45) Modelesque and aloof, her movements are graceful and exact. When her face is caressed by her clone she is ignited, a sensation she expresses only with her face. Must dance. Open to all types but hip-hop and heels preferred.

The Job
Rescue is looking for an experienced Influencer and Partnership Manager to focus on forming essential partnerships with influencers in the early childhood development space, as well as leverage existing community relationships across California to grow a unified statewide brand. This role will serve to increase awareness of California’s early childhood development messages amongst new and low-income parents, develop engaging, experiential influencer/parent-focused events, and will assist in influencer and partnership growth efforts. As an on-the-ground representative for the brand, the Influencer and Partnership Manager plays a crucial role in elevating the messages and resources of the California-focused early childhood development brand.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Brand Experience and Support
  • Serve as the California early childhood development brand expert
  • Create, plan, and execute unique event experiences to engage Influencers and motivate parents to support the development of their young children
  • Collaborate with Campaign Lead to create, plan, and execute unique Cultural Influencer and/or Brand Ambassador experiences (ex. Meetups, Sponsorships, Events)

Hello Sunshine is a media brand and content company dedicated to female authorship and storytelling across all platforms. Hello Sunshine is producing feature films, television shows as well as unscripted series, audio storytelling and social series under the Hello Sunshine brand. It is also the home for Reese’s Book Club, a fast-growing social book club in reach and influence. Hello Sunshine is seeking a VP, Film & TV to support projects in various stages of development, production and post. We are seeking a self-starter who is well-versed across film and television production and has worked at a large media or entertainment brand. The VP, Film & TV will have the opportunity to strategize with senior management on packaging and selling projects to sourcing materials and determining the viability in the marketplace.

What You Will Do

  • Strategize with senior management on packaging and selling projects to various buyers
  • Source, read, and evaluate incoming material to determine fit for company brand and viability in the marketplace
  • Field pitches, identify trends, and deliver on the strategic development goals of Hello Sunshine’s Film and TV team
  • Generate 2+ new projects each year for our slate
  • Watch cuts and giving notes
  • Serve as point of contact with the creative community to identify and develop new projects.
  • Partner with leadership and internal partners on how best to grow business for Hello Sunshine with external networks, buyers, and talent
  • Work to ensure a consistent level of quality is achieved and maintained on scripted creative fronts.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, creative risk-taking and fiscal responsibility
  • Manage and drive results on multiple film & television projects in various stages of development, production, and post
  • Provide oversight on set for projects in production
  • Serve as a creative custodian/troubleshooter/problem-solver on both current projects and scripts in development, providing creative feedback and guidance, as needed
  • Interface with internal teams on all production and programming issues, including but not limited to: Ensuring that Hello Sunshine and our partners priorities are in sync and being addressed by the internal partner.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, as well as agency heads and high-level talent including: producers/production companies, studios, agents, writers, directors, actors, etc.
  • Participate in hiring key cast and crew
  • Participate in key creative decisions regarding physical production
  • Manage and develop relationships with talent, agents, managers, producers, and executives
  • Manage and mentor administrative team

Requirements

  • A high performer with a track record of success at a buyer, studio, or high-volume production company
  • Superior story and script analysis
  • Ability to thrive and manage others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A pro-active, passionate self-starter
  • In depth knowledge and familiarity with working writers, directors, actors in the industry
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
  • Extremely strong and thoughtful communication skills
  • Fluency in film and television development, production, and post
  • Highly collaborative and leads with a spirit of generosity (someone who is comfortable taking the lead or following based on the situation)
  • Detail-oriented (someone who cares about the presentation of information)
  • Innately curious and has a strong desire to learn and grow
