SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position provides the unique opportunity to join the Business Affairs team at an agency spearheading the realization of new ideas & creativity. As a member of the team, you will be managing all business facets of influencer campaigns, social media campaigns, and integrated commercial production across IUA’s client roster, including influencer/production/talent contracting, managing brand ambassador programs, licensing and clearances, budget administration, scoping legal issues, and interpreting the SAG Commercials Contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- ·Research, identify, and build relationships with social media influencers, content creators, and their respective agents
- Negotiate fair rates for content, and handle contracting and estimating for commercial and non-commercial productions, including preparation of Influencer contracts, SAG contracts, and non-union talent agreements
- Manage influencer and client communication to ensure the objectives and deliverables are met
- Review creative for any clearances/licensing, and provide watch outs
- Prepare production estimate with breakdowns and pertinent info from producers
- Partner with client’s cost consultants to ensure estimate approval
- Create production start-up documents, including production agreements, insurance coverage, and talent mandatories
- Manage research/outreach/negotiation/contract of third-party licensing, including stock, film/TV, music, props, etc.
- Issue purchase orders, facilitate invoice approvals, payment and job actualization
- Work closely with BA leadership, legal counsel, and account teams to resolve any liability issues within assigned production, creating viable and workable solutions
- Train and guide new teammates in influencer best practices as team grows

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Communications will partner with departments across the organization and an agency partner to build the recognition of Medicines360 as a nonprofit pharmaceutical organization and industry thought leader. This position will help elevate the brand by leading the development of content that helps cultivate and sustain relationships with and awareness among key constituencies/stakeholders: including funders, policymakers, potential partners, media, and internal stakeholders.
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Communications and Marketing, this role will lead the development of compelling content that delivers against an overarching brand strategy, and partner with other members of the team to ensure flawless execution in digital and printed materials, events, and public relations which consistently articulate and reinforce Medicines360’s vision, mission, activities, accomplishments, and impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess communications opportunities and liaise with key staff to execute annual communications plans in support of departmental, organizational and brand objectives.
- Lead content development to engage key audiences systematically and meaningfully.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

The Area Director of Public Relations primary focus is to develop and implement strategic public relations plan for the hotels, generate and maximize relevant media exposure for the properties on a local, regional, and national level, effectively implement, pitch related Loews Hotels Brand programs to local media, act as liaison between the hotels and the community oversee internal communications as well as social media.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute PR and social media strategies for the hotels, keeping the hotel’s positioning and brand top of mind
- Be the creator and gatekeeper of all copy and content for the hotels they oversee
- Create newsworthy promotions and story ideas to include F&B, spa, family, leisure, weddings, group and other topics that are relevant to the hotels
- Promote Good Neighbor promotions or events
- Develop and maintain hotels media materials and press areas of the Loews Hotels Web site
- Distribute media releases for each hotel’s key markets on both national and local level
- Keep abreast of consumer and trade media interests in order to better capitalize on publicity opportunities.
- Maintain strong media relations with local and regional journalists and pitch hotels efforts
- Create media personalities within the hotels staff – i.e. GM, chefs, concierge, etc. to generate positive exposure for the hotel. Train staff as needed to appear on camera or be interviewed
- Participate with local CVBs to stay current on destination promotional efforts, and host journalist requests when appropriate
- Develop relationships with organizations and businesses within key markets that support and enhance PR efforts
- Liaise with onsite contacts about media visits and requests
- Manage all media inquiries, press visits and onsite productions
- Monitor all forms of media (TV, radio, online and print), report on media mentions and share best media coverage
- Responsible for media relations in the event of a crisis at the hotel. Prepare and keep crisis plan current.
- Become an advocate of the company by nurturing relationships with key influencers in the community and work with local PR efforts to maximize reach
- Develop monthly reports in a timely efficient manner
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
- Required to attend all training sessions and meetings

Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Minimum of six plus years in public relations with a lifestyle or hospitality brand or a PR agency
- Self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills

The role of Communications in Culture Network is to develop and define the messaging and communications strategy that increase awareness and affinity for the Red Bull brand and its events, artists, and media projects. The department oversees all internal and external communication and partners with external media that matter / agencies and cross-functional Brand, Sports, and Culture marketing teams to share and amplify the key messages of our brand. Reporting to the Director, Dance Network, the Manager, Communications (Dance) oversees a team that owns the development and distribution of strategic PR communications and national campaigns that align to the initiatives of a specific Santa Monica (SaMo) Culture Marketing vertical. The underlying objective of this role is to maximize media coverage that influences and engages priority culture audiences to build brand awareness and brand love to new consumers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMMUNICATIONS
- Lead a team that builds awareness of Dance projects, events and artists, tailors campaigns to target and engage priority audiences and endemic trade, and generates excitement for Dance properties with editorial partners and in media that matter
- Translate the larger Communications vision, goals, and core strategies for Culture to create the most efficient tactics that drive media coverage to reach new consumers and influencers in your specific realm of Dance
- In partnership with SaMo Culture Marketing leadership, lead the development of communications strategy and plan for Dance-focused Media House projects
- Partner and manage external agencies to create plans that amplify our brand campaigns & assets, positioning of products and services, news & announcements, etc.
- Evaluate the potential media impact of new artists and event concepts as a counterpart to Culture Marketing

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
- Fluency in English
- 10+ years of experience in leading communications for high-profile brands or dance focused agency account management
