THE REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for leadership-minded individuals with at least 4-7 years of experience at a creative agency or at an in-house creative department. Experience working in the digital and virtual spaces is a plus. Candidates must show a portfolio of winning ideas and demonstrate an understanding of how strategic thinking can help guide creative. Interpersonal and presentation skills are a must, as this is a heavily client-facing role. We are also seeking individuals who enjoy mentoring and guiding others who are earlier in their creative career paths. Moonbug is looking for a talented Music Manager to join our CoComelon team at our Los Angeles office!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workflow of the audio team
  • Ensure audio deliverables remain on time and on track.
  • Serve as a liaison between the audio team, creative team, the production pipeline, and any external or internal stakeholders.
  • Provide all notes with stakeholders to ensure next steps and actionables are completed by the necessary audio team members in a timely fashion.
  • Traffic out deliveries to the necessary stakeholders.
  • Ensure to communicate any roadblocks or issues that may arise with the line manager.
  • Provide clear communication to the audio engineers and the composers of any notes for revisions and changes to make the music, lyrics, guide vocals and SFX.
  • Quality check/cross check the music, lyrics, guide vocals and SFX.
  • This included word pronunciation of the lyrics in the guide vocal, complexity of a melody, pacing of a melody and emotional elements of a composition, quality of SFX for characters, placement or use of other SFX throughout the episode.
  • Work with the production department to coordinate and schedule voice talents recording sessions:
  • Create guide SFX tracks for vocal talents.
  • Oversee and coach vocalists during the recording sessions.
  • Relay the story with the composer and help map out the structure of songs, including interludes, transitions, verses, choruses, intros and outros.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Role

Moonbug is seeking an Art Director responsible for the visual style of the series and related marketing materials. This role will directs how the characters, props, and environments are going to look. The Art Director determines the design language of the show, which requires them to have an understanding of what the final, on-screen image should look like and how to get there. Working along with the show’s artists, the Art Director is involved in the visual development that communicates the artistic vision to vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and provides approvals of artwork, providing thoughtful feedback, as well as drawovers if necessary to external vendor pre-production stakeholders.
  • Generates artwork in areas of specialization which may include character, environment, props, textures, mood, lighting, and story concepts, which clarifies creative intent.
  • Participates in establishing key lighting for series episodes.
  • Accountable for on time, on-budget execution, and delivery of all design assets.
  • Communicates with senior production leadership to ensure designs fall on schedule and within scope.

Senior Art Director

As a Senior Art Director at Colle McVoy, you’ll be responsible for delivering brand-building, big ideas, putting your design skills to work and executing creative across mediums. You’ll spend a lot of time with a copywriter dreaming up ridiculously big ideas and then bring them to life. Sometimes you’ll work with outside vendors such as photographers, retouchers, illustrators, directors, animators, editors, influencers and other production partners. You may even work with an animal trainer or a chainsaw juggler at some point, if you’re lucky. Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts, designs and layouts, collaborating with copywriters and other creatives to produce a high caliber of work
  • Take work from concept to design to final execution on time and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Present ideas and work effectively to internal teams and clients
  • Establish visual vision and approach to appropriately reflect brand positioning
  • Art direct through final layouts; attend photo shoots, broadcast shoots and all aspects of post-production
  • Possess a spectrum of design skills including designing for social
  • Remain current on industry trends and technology

Required Skills:

  • A self-starter; needs little direction to tackle assignments
  • Stellar ability to distill brand and project strategies into simple, compelling ideas
  • Experience executing integrated productions (video/broadcast, photography, illustration, social, digital advertising, experiential)
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Work collaboratively in an environment that values innovation, flexibility, and creativity

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of agency or relevant experience
  • Online portfolio of award-winning work that demonstrates a range of ideas from integrated campaigns to video/broadcast, social, OOH/print and beyond
  • Ability to travel as needed
