THE PITCH

We seek individuals with meaningful agency or creative experience who understand how to impact others through the power of story, and through custom-made experiences online and in person. We seek leaders who know how to connect content and experiences through themes and concepts, and how those concepts and ideas help shape hearts and minds.
THE ROLE
August Jackson looks to our Creative Directors to be the lead of all things creative. Transforming client objectives into creative themes and concepts is at the heart of this role. Therefore, the ability to build and nurture client relationships is key to success. Our Creative Directors are leaders and problem solvers, able to use creative thinking as a way to bring people together and move businesses toward their desired outcomes. They inspire others with their vision of what a communications campaign, in-person event, virtual event, or digital activation can achieve.
- Theme and Concept Development – Transform client business objectives into themes and concepts that drive the content and experiences through a variety of channels.
- Content Creative Direction – Identify and craft a wide variety of stories and communications that reflect our clients’ brands, deliver their key messages, and drive audiences and end users to key outcomes.
- Experiential Creative Direction – Design and develop ideas that help build experiences for our clients’ audiences and end users, through both events and campaigns.
- Mentorship and Guidance – We look to our Creative Directors to help mentor and guide Associate Creative Directors and Creative Associates through their professional development.
- Copywriting Guidance – Guide our Associate Creative Directors and Creative Associates in writing effective copy for video, websites, presentations, and other forms of communication.
THE REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for leadership-minded individuals with at least 4-7 years of experience at a creative agency or at an in-house creative department. Experience working in the digital and virtual spaces is a plus. Candidates must show a portfolio of winning ideas and demonstrate an understanding of how strategic thinking can help guide creative. Interpersonal and presentation skills are a must, as this is a heavily client-facing role. We are also seeking individuals who enjoy mentoring and guiding others who are earlier in their creative career paths. Finally, our Creative Directors must be highly collaborative both with internal colleagues across various disciplines and external clients and vendor partners.
