About the Role:

We are looking for a Manager, Business Operations and Strategy to support and build out our Business Operations. The Business Operations and Strategy team is at the heart ROI analysis across the company and is the engine of insights and strategic decisions for the CEO, CFO and CSO. The team covers cross functional initiatives and has specific business operations verticals along content, ad sales, business development growth, marketing and international.   • Sales vertical is focused on deep dives into ad sales revenue streams of the business, cross sectional views of performance of direct, partner, specific advertisers as well as specific revenue KPIs (cpm, fill, capacity). Ample opportunity to expand into ad sales operations and streamlining opportunities for improvements.
  • Growth vertical is focused on return on investment on user acquisition spend across all channels, tradeoffs of resource allocation, evaluation of strategic opportunities across OTT platforms, and identifying barriers and solutions to scaling.

Your background:

  • MBA or equivalent experience

Firaxis Audio – Project Audio Director – Marvel’s Midnight Suns

Overview

Firaxis Games is searching for an experienced, technically minded, project Audio Director to lead the audio vision of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall project audio direction, supporting technical innovation by defining efficient and performant audio pipelines while overseeing all aspects of the game’s audio development.

You will work closely with the Studio Audio Director and project leadership to ensure audio is represented at the highest levels and take ownership of the sonic identity across the title. You will contribute to the strategic leadership goals as it pertains to the audio team while being a champion for audio within the studio. Autonomous in your work, you are enthusiastic and motivated to push the boundaries of game audio and strive to elevate and achieve our studio’s creative vision through sound.

The ideal candidate has experience overseeing all aspects of a game’s audio development from pre-production to ship, and has a proven track record of conceptualizing and integrating innovative technical audio pipelines and systems to fulfill project goals. Effective at planning and developing realistic timelines to deliver results, combined with an unwavering desire to promote and support audio within a development team, you are a thoughtful and motivated leader willing to accept any challenge head on.

Responsibilities

  • Define and uphold the project’s audio direction both on a creative and technical level, while ensuring world-class audio quality is met and the vision is effectively communicated
  • Oversee all aspects of the game’s audio development and implementation regarding sound assets, dialogue, music, and mix
  • Create and implement audio assets within the game and audio engine as needed
  • Conceptualize innovative audio features, concepts, and best practices to support providing exceptional audio design and implementation across the project

Qualifications

  • 3+ Years experience working as an Audio Director within the games industry
  • 8+ Years experience working in audio for AAA game titles
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience working as a Lead or Director
  • At least 1 AAA / Major Title shipped in an Audio Director role
  • At least 3 AAA / Major Titles shipped as a member of an audio team
  • Highly proficient in AudioKinetc’s Wwise middleware software
  • Highly proficient in Unreal engine development with a focus on audio implementation
  • Experience shipping titles across multiple SKUs, incorporating performance optimizations as needed
  • Extensive knowledge of developing complex audio pipelines and integrations, such as narrative pipelines, audio build systems, audio features (HDR, Propagation Systems, Dynamic Reverb Systems, etc.)
  • Experience mixing game audio supporting various user defined end points (surround, Dolby Atmos, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of audio production standards and best practices within the games industry

  • Liaise with the London, New York and Los Angeles offices to encourage knowledge sharing, planning and cohesion.
  • Must continually research, develop and adapt new and current ideas and techniques to ensure they remain innovative and at the forefront of our industry.
  • Must represent The Mill within and externally such as industry events.

Key Purpose Of The Job

  • Achieving the creative aims of the Director and/or Producers through the use of CG.
  • Responsible for the CG Post Production process, creatively leading the artists throughout the project and ensuring that good and clear communication occurs at all times between the artists, and client.
  • Will handle the CG project from conception through to completion.
  • Needs to work closely with Director to develop and interpret their creative vision.
  • Briefs entire team on director’s creative vision to enable artists to produce desired results.
  • Communicates with and collaborates with the 2D and Design teams to provide a seamless pipeline.

Qualifications

  • At least 10+ years of CG post production experience.
  • CG Supervisor or previous VFX Supervisor experience in commercial or film industry.
  • Creative eye and aesthetic judgement knowing composition, cinematic design and animation timing.
  • Needs to have a strong and exceptional understanding of Directing/Lighting/Camera work/Practical Effects/Camera Gripping/Art /Modelling/Lighting/Animation/FX.
  • Innate sense of composition, light, colour and excellent attention to detail
  • On set supervision experience.
  • Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines often under pressure
  • Excellent communication, organization skills and financial and budget management skills
  • Expert in industry standard software packages such as Maya, Houdini.
  • A thorough understanding of the CG & 2D principles and pipeline is essential.

Additional Information

The pay range for this full-time staff position is: $145,000 – $200,000 per year, which is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.

NBCUniversal is looking for a highly talented Manager, Product Analytics & Implementation to join the Audience Acquisition & Growth Business Intelligence team. The team is responsible for Marketing Analytics, Product Analytics & Implementation, Data Strategy and Content Insights & Optimization. The Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Map and test implementation of tracking specifications, primarily focused on web, app and video players.
  • Work with data engineering teams and product management teams to identify gaps in the custom Analytics tagging deployment for Adobe Analytics, mParticle and other internal tools.
  • Analyze performance impact, dependencies, and pre-requisites of tagging implementations on various web, mobile/ctv app and video applications.

Our global Visual Effects team combines talent with technology, artistry with rigor, the familiar with the fantastic. Our work can be inspiring or invisible, but always unforgettable. A Senior Lead Compositor / VFX Supervisor at The Mill will work on many high-profile projects for global advertising agencies. As a result, they will have an in-depth understanding of how to technically and creatively realize the unique look and feel of a Mill project. They will also have an invaluable understanding and knowledge of the technology, bespoke applications, workflow, methodologies and pipeline across six offices, strong relationships with their peers in those locations and a clear understanding of the high level of creative output required.

A Senior Lead Compositor / VFX Supervisor oversees a team of Compositors and Associate Compositors, and will assign and critique their team’s work, but above all provide mentorship to their junior artists. They are required to be highly visually creative with an excellent knowledge of visual effects techniques and the software and hardware they operate.

A Senior Lead Compositor / VFX Supervisor is expected to supervise VFX shoots and therefore must have an advanced understanding of onset VFX supervision protocol and best practices. They must also have an advanced knowledge of onset VFX supervision techniques, such as using tracking markers and shooting lens grids and HDRIs.

Although a Senior Lead Compositor / VFX Supervisor defaults to the Creative Director when working together, they must also have the confidence and ability to manage clients, coordinating and guiding them through a group creative process, often with a great deal of diplomacy to achieve a result which is satisfactory to all. A Senior Lead Compositor / VFX Supervisor is expected to have their own client base, and are expected to build upon that base by developing and working in tandem with creative talent.
