Art Director

French | West | Vaughan (FWV) is seeking a talented, conceptual and passionate Art Director to join its creative team in the Raleigh office. A strong graphic design background is a must, as well as experience crafting, producing and presenting big-idea campaigns across all media. We’re looking for a storyteller who sweats the details and loves working within an integrated team and a fast-paced agency. The right candidate will have experience working closely with copywriters, photographers, directors, editors and production teams. You should be highly organized, deadline driven, client loving, coworker supporting and motivated to collaborate across agency departments. An integrated portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and proficiency in graphic design and art direction across all channels is a must.

At FWV, work spans all traditional and digital channels, including print, collateral, TV, social media, web, new business, and agency marketing efforts. Video editing and motion graphic skills will be considered a great plus. Experience with consumer brands in tech, western, outdoor, travel and tourism, and the pet industry would be amazing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with copywriters, account, client and production teams to concept and execute original and effective marketing campaigns
  2. Develop creative strategies focused on innovative and results driven solutions
  3. Develop logos, websites, collateral and advertising ideas
  4. Oversee printing, web development and TV/film production
  5. Present ideas and strategies with excitement and clarity, both internally and to clients
  6. Develop strategic ideas and help craft the agency’s approach in new business efforts
  7. Manage multiple projects and deadlines, pivot to client feedback, while still delivering effective creative solutions

Requirements:

  1. Digital portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and creative strategy, with examples of art direction across advertising, social, web and collateral
  2. Six-plus years of experience (creative agency experience strongly preferred)
  3. Four-year degree in communications, marketing or advertising preferred
  4. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Google slides, docs and drive
  5. Experience directing photo and video production, video editing and motion graphic design
  6. Advanced knowledge of print and digital production, banner design and UX design
  7. Strong leadership, collaborative problem-solving and communication skills
  8. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

We need a female model to work a Corporate Event on the 10th of December from 6pm to 8pm in Tucson; location TBA.

This is for a ‘Winter Wonderland’ themed event in which the model will be wearing a ‘Champagne Skirt’ and interacting with guests.

You will get a break in the two hour period and food will be available.

Little Dot Studios is a digital content studio and broadcaster, specializing in distribution and monetization of video content across YouTube and all social platforms, as well as production of original and brand-funded video content. We manage YouTube channels and social video for over 100 global TV brands, from Gordon Ramsay to Warner Bros. We also produce original and branded video content, and have launched several award-winning branded campaigns. We have offices in London, Munich, Berlin, and Los Angeles.

We are recruiting for a Channel Manager to join the team to work on managing YouTube channels and social video platforms on behalf of our clients and across a range of verticals. This will cover account and client management, general video production needs, and all the day-to-day operations of the channels/platforms and working with editors, coordinators and designers to help create video content. We are looking for a Channel Manager who is enthusiastic and passionate about creating content, and who can become a key member of the Little Dot Studios team. All applicants should be able to show demonstrable interest in online video and social media, and experience in building and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Helping to devise and implement best practice strategy for content creation and distribution to social video platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc)
  • Overseeing channel growth and implementation of audience development best-practice, including understanding client aims and how they are best met
  • End-to-end producing of repurposed short-form digital content
  • Managing client approvals and upload/publishing of all video content
  • Attending monthly meetings with clients to assess progress and new opportunities
  • Producing decks and strategy documents
  • Overseeing one or more video editor/graphic designer, tasked with editing and optimizing video content for social video platforms
  • Examining YouTube analytics regularly, spotting insights, and modifying content and strategy accordingly
  • Ensuring impeccable use of spelling and grammar across all channels at all times
  • Occasional video editing and graphic design

Qualifications:

  • A clear passion for online media and understanding of best-practice for video on YouTube and social media
  • Demonstrable experience of client management, content planning and progress reporting

Description

The eCommerce Art Director is responsible for the creative direction and execution for one of Industrial Color’s largest ecom production clients. In this role, the Art Director will handle all aspects of the ecomm creative process, and ensure that the output of work on this account is continually meeting the client’s expectations, creative guidelines and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in on set art direction and kids specifically, and a knowledge of styling, photography and creative principles for both still imagery and video. A desire to work with and around children is important.

Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as on set ecom Art Director for a dedicated on model ecomm client, shooting daily, specifically for kids brands.
  • Be able to provide clear feedback and direction to on set teams and ensure that on set team

members adhere to creative direction + specific guidelines, while meeting required productivity.

  • Act as liaison between client and IC team to ensure we are meeting creative guidelines set forth

by the client.

  • Ensure that all images are consistent and within the right quality standards.
  • Create documentation to help facilitate and implement all creative guidelines (style guides,

retouching guides, etc) and update all documents on a frequent basis to keep up with new trends,

incoming merchandise, seasonal changes, and direction from the client.

  • Ensure all images are cropped according to ecomm guidelines.
  • Oversee kids casting needs for the various sub brands of this account, and continually refresh the

pool of talent available for our shoots.

  • Establish and cultivate a network of support staff for roles such as hair stylists, make up artists,

stylists and photographers.

  • Act as point person for freelancers and to make sure that all on set team members are executing

against the same creative vision.

  • Keep up with ecomm trends and continually brainstorm ways to elevate creative and the overall

creative process.

  • Lead in the testing of new creative initiatives and approaches that can help enhance the output of

images and overall productivity of the account.

  • Work closely with Production + Sample Manager to schedule shoots for the week based on

creative needs, casting availability, sample priorities, etc.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as an on set Art Director, with experience in ecommerce production (specifically on model photography). Background in kids photography is preferred.
  • Ability to create and execute against a brand’s vision and lead an on set team / crew.
  • A strong understanding of retail, fashion and design.
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work within tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Possess an inspiring work ethic with the ability to drive themselves to an extreme level of quality,

detail and performance.

  • A team player with strong collaborative skills with the ability to work with a diverse group/people.

Summary

The Stadium Retail and Events Manager is a dynamic leader who oversees the daily operations of all stadium souvenir retail sites for both on-site and off-site special events. The Stadium Retail and Events Manager ensures outstanding guest service, company policies and operational success in an exciting environment while meeting and exceeding budgeted goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Building a strong, knowledgeable, enthusiastic sales staff to execute all stadium and special events, including but not limited to home OL Reign, Sounders FC and Seahawks games, International Friendlies, CONCACAF, Training Camp, Starfire and 12 Tour and any other booked stadium events as necessary
  • Overseeing all daily operations ensuring efficiency and creating a first-class guest experience
  • Scheduling of staff and accurate tracking and coding of shifts in time keeping system
  • Managing the budget with a sharp focus on the bottom line
  • Responsible for creating and implementing monthly staff incentive programs
  • Execute physical inventory and cycle counts at all stadium locations
  • Work with Merchandise Manager and merchandise team to create and maintain in store visual merchandise displays and in stock selection
  • Coordinate with the DC on deliveries and restock of the sites
  • Coordinate with the Director of Retail Operations to book events and increase overall communication between all teams
  • Communicate effectively with front office retail staff to ensure store needs are being met, concerns are addressed and opportunities are not being missed
  • Plan and set clear sales and customer service goals, holding staff accountable for achieving our measurable department goals
  • Model the core values of the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders FC organizations, motivating staff to consistently exemplify these principles

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position will supervise all stadium retail staff

The In-House Photoshoot Producer is a detail-oriented partner to the photography and marketing team. They will coordinate and manage photoshoots to ensure image deliverables are best-in-class.

 

The photo studio supplies product images for multiple brands for use across a variety of platforms: e-comm, packaging, look books, and more. The role requires an understanding of pre-production, on set, and post-production matters associated with apparel photography.

 

The ideal candidate comes with an entrepreneurial spirit, partnering with the VP of Marketing to develop the photo studio and build process to support a growing multi-brand, multi-channel apparel business. 

 

This professional will be responsible for:

  • Point-of-contact for all marketing photography requests
  • Cast and book models, make up & hair stylists, wardrobe stylists, and photographers for on-model and off-model photoshoots
  • Create call sheets and communicate photo shoot details to all personnel and talent
  • Manage studio resources and workflow processes
  • Ensure photoshoots are executed according to brand and retailer specifications
  • Supervisory responsibility for Production Coordinator and Production Intern
  • Product sample management and tracking
  • Publish weekly photography schedule
  • Negotiate fees with talent
  • Ensure photography deliverables meet deadlines and expectations
  • Work closely with sales and design teams to ensure photography is in line with business needs
  • Review invoices for accuracy
  • Provide guidance and support to photographers

 

The ideal applicants must have:

  • 3-5 years exposure to apparel industry, photography production
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial role
  • Insight into photo studio set up for best color results and consistent output
