This key member of the Marketing team is a super organized, detail-oriented creative that understands the process of visual communication beyond photography. They will collaborate with creative leadership and peers within the marketing team working side-by-side bringing to life creative concepts by art directing the photography and content captured in our photo studio. Responsibilities:

· Provide creative vision and leadership on set through clear communication, organizational and time management skills.

· Curate shot lists, swipe and mood boards that aligns omnichannel needs and clearly communicate idea and objectives. Help drive greater consistency, efficiency and alignment across channels.

· Work with cross-functional marketing and merchandising teams. Partner daily with in-house studio producer, photographers, videographer, stylists, and freelancers. Ensure all creative content meets established goals and objectives.

· Identify shot selects and curate final assets for marketing team to implement into creative.

· Help evolve and maintain ongoing photography processes and standards across all media channels for the brand. Helping to improve creative, photography and production workflow.

· Work with photo studio manager and producer to define and maintain photography schedules within the overall production schedule.

The Role

XQ is seeking an experienced Art Director to join our dynamic team of cross-disciplinary designers, illustrators, writers, and producers. As the Art Director, your role will involve crafting creative content for digital, video, and print formats across various marketing campaigns and products.

Reporting directly to the Head of Creative, you will play a pivotal role in shaping concepts and bringing campaigns to life. Your work will be instrumental in driving audience acquisition and retention across multiple channels, all while shedding light on the transformative potential of reimagining the high school experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and relevant stakeholders to translate concepts into top-tier visual designs across various mediums, including print, digital, and video.
  • Work across marketing, product development, and other departments to define strategies, brainstorm ideas, and oversee the execution of projects.
  • Ensure the XQ brand and its values shine through in everything we produce.
  • Take the lead in the artistic direction and design of projects from inception to completion.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • A robust portfolio demonstrating mastery in your craft.
  • 5 + years of design and art direction experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
  • Proficiency in designing for web, video, and print. Publishing experience is a plus.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. After Effects is a plus.
  • Experience in art directing photography and video.
  • Ability to lead medium to large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven collaboration experience with marketing teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and decision-making skills.
  • The capability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Innate curiosity about the world, staying attuned to popular culture, trends, brands, and technologies, and understanding their impact on both business and culture.

POSITION SUMMARY

TCP is seeking an effective, strategic and experienced grants administrator to support overall grantmaking and fundraising operations at TCP. This position will be responsible for managing and monitoring grants both received and disbursed at The Children’s Partnership and ensuring a consistent process. This position reports directly to the VP, Finance & Operations and works closely with the Manager, Development.

In addition, this role will work closely with the Project Director of TCP’s Peer-to-Peer Mental Health High School Pilot Demonstration, a partnership between TCP and the California Department of Health Care Services, to support all stages of grantmaking to eight high schools around California.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides administration for TCP’s grantmaking process throughout all stages including receiving, assessing, tracking, payment/check requests, documenting all inquiries and/or proposals; assuring that submitted documentation meets all requirements; and maintaining accurate and timely records of grant-making and other programmatic activities.
  • Works with Development, Finance, Policy and Program staff to coordinate and maintain a grant cycle calendar and site visit schedules; assists with the preparation of grant related materials.
  • Provides technical assistance to grantees with online application and reporting processes.
  • Maintains the online nonprofit database and physical grant files, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data as well as grantee relationship history.
  • Oversees standard terms and conditions and drafting of grant award letters, contracts and agreements, including development and standardization of MOUs.
  • Trains and serves as point person for staff on grantmaking development, contracts and MOUs; ensures that protocols are executed properly.
  • Creates and edits templates and reports.
  • Maintains relationships with grants management software vendors.
  • Assists with required research pertinent to grant due diligence, ongoing review, and close-out analyses.
  • Maintains internal control procedures over accounting, financial reporting, and grantmaking program administration;
  • Supports the finance and communication functions by generating requested information, data and reports from information maintained in the grants management database or other sources of information.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • A minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated grants administration experience. Experience in and/or knowledge of social justice-oriented nonprofits is preferred.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of grantmaking best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical counsel to executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with data management systems.
  • Ability to quickly build trust, credibility, and goodwill, both internally with staff, and externally with allies, funders, and board members.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated strong cultural humility and commitment to racial equity and anti-racism.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The starting salary range for this position is $70,000 – $85,000 based on experience and skill set.
