Manager, PR & Events
We are seeking a talented manager who will be responsible for supporting Public Relations & Events. This role must build & maintain strong relationships with media & makeup artists, have excellent verbal & written communication skills, & possess the ability to prioritize & thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a passion for creative writing in a brand voice, & be able to react quickly to trends. This role requires an individual who is execution-driven with high energy & enthusiasm for all things PR. Experience & affinity for social media & events preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all PR activity for brand, products & key leadership personnel
- Liaise with & manage external PR agency
- Brainstorm creative ideas & initiatives that could become the next viral or trending story
- Identify & draft appropriate pitch angles & releases to support product launches, promotions, cultural moments, & newsworthy press hooks

Requirements:

- Ability to think through communication strategies & deliver tangible results

PBS North Carolina seeks an experienced, digital savvy Series Producer/Director to work on an episodic digital series in collaboration with PBS Digital Studios. The series will be distributed on the PBS Terra YouTube channels, as well as social platforms. Interest and/or expertise in STEM, innovation, and science fiction content a plus. This is a contract position that will last approximately one year.
Key Producer/Director responsibilities include:
- Shepherding editorial processes, including: developing topics and outlines with researchers, collaborating on scripts with writers and hosts, providing feedback on rough cuts.
- Directing talent and crews, including studio and field shoots.
- Managing post production, including collaborating with gfx editor and others on graphics, animations, titles, and music.
- Shepherding all deliverables, including social and promotional assets.
In short, you are a creative force from pre-production to delivery of each episode. You will wrangle a team of researchers, writers, hosts, animators, editors, and work closely with PBSNC’s National Productions Team and PBS Digital Studios. The primary role of the Production Designer is to create all deliverables for the marketing campaigns for Zacks Investment Management, Zacks Advantage, and Zacks Trade.

Job Duties
- Cover Chicago-area news across platforms for TelemundoChicago.com: web, app, social media and push alerts
- Report stories from the digital desk, competitively in breaking news. Candidate must feel comfortable gathering news by making phone calls, verifying content on social media and working with reporters in the field.
- Send push alerts and post to social media in breaking news events
- Produce breaking news events across multiple platforms by collaborating with assignment desk, reporters, news staff and independent sources
- Quickly learn a website’s audience and write and distribute content based on this audience.
- Create multimedia content to enhance daily news coverage (i.e. video, live streams, slideshows)
- Edit videos for all digital platforms with accuracy and creativity
- Execute all publishing workflows for video, images and text
- Enforce editorial style guides, standards and practices
- Identify relevant stories of the day and engage our local audience across multiple platforms
- Solicit user-generated content to enhance both on-air and online news coverage

Position Overview For The Production Designer
We are seeking a meticulous and resourceful Senior Production Designer to join the Creative Studio’s production team. The production team supports all things technical and creative. They bring scale and efficiency to the creation of assets. They are the final checkpoint in the creative design process. They use their skills in design, typography and desktop applications to create, correct and review production-ready files for the delivery of all print and digital designs. Production designers are extremely comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and although not required may also work in AfterEffects and/or HTML5 for animation.
The Production Designer works primarily with the Creative Studio design and account management teams, in addition to our corporate, brand and production partners. They work on B2C and B2B communications in digital and print, for use in consumer brand campaigns, owned-channel content and on-property.
Skills For The Production Designer
- 4+ years of Production Design experience, ideally with a marketing or advertising agency
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, along with other creative tools/programs
