Our client, a Major Entertainment Company located in Los Angeles, is seeking a Motion Graphics Art Director to join their creative team! The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a deep knowledge and understanding of culture and how social media platforms are evolving. You will be collaborating with other creatives and designers to help build brands through campaign-level thinking and tactical executions across all social media and digital platforms. You are someone who is able to bring your own ideas to life, as well as collaborate with other creatives to determine the best visual execution of a concept.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the in-house team to create top-tier visuals combining video editing, 3D animation, eye-catching motion graphics, and sound design for social and digital advertising content
  • Create storyboards, comps, animation, visual effects, photo-retouching, and image enhancements that meet or exceed strategic objectives
  • Produce animated motion graphics, titles, text, and infographics
  • Work closely with Project Managers to understand timing and deliverables and plan production

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience as a Motion Graphics Designer
  • Mastery of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and comprehensive knowledge of 3D Design within Cinema 4D or Blender
  • Understanding digital Ad products and placements to create channel-specific visuals that embody best practices for each platform
  • A critical eye for visual details such as color, typography, and composition
  • Highly organized and positive with a self-sufficient mentality
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to maintain creative excellence in a fast-paced, ever-changing landscape
  • Capability to work and transition seamlessly from projects across different media (social media, motion graphics, 3D design, and static work)
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • Experience & interest in Web 3.0 and Metaverse Plat

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement innovative conceptual ideas and visual stylistic directions across all media platforms for a wide variety of clients
  • Create and adopt visual styles and tonal personalities that reflect the nuances of client’s brand and voice
  • Work collaboratively with Account, Strategy, Digital, Social and Project Management teams to successfully produce creative within time constraints and on budget
  • Actively analyze concepts against client requests to ensure they meet strategic goals, objectives, and timing
  • Develop and execute ideas from strategic concept development to project completion
  • Integrate current and contemporary visual trends and media into day-to-day assignments
  • Present work internally to the agency and externally to clients in a confident and professional manner
  • Produce work worthy of industry recognition and client praise
  • Strictly adhere to timelines, schedules, and budgets

The VP, Creative Director leads the creative effort for a significant number of accounts and new business efforts at the assigned office.

COPY

  • Responsible for the clear articulation of the brand narrative
  • Responsible for communicating all enhancements and nuances of the brand to the clients and team members
  • Responsible for ensuring all elements of the brand are working in harmony in a consistent way

CONCEPTING

  • Actively participate in the development of a creative brief
  • Work with an assigned creative team to give constructive direction to sharpen the work
  • Make creative decisions to help focus his/her creative team

PRESENTING

  • Responsible for the team’s final output of presentations that are well thought out and delivered on time, allowing for proper presentation prep and rehearsal
  • Develop creative strategy slides to help sell the work in

TEAM INTERACTION/MANAGEMENT

  • Conduct creative leadership review prior to deliverable submission to internal review
  • Streamline team’s resources and communications and works to find ways to remove day to day barriers and burdens from his/her team
  • Utilizing discovery and kick-off meetings, ensures complete and thorough understanding of project ask before initiating work
  • Partner with account team when problems occur and proactively works to come to the best solution that serves both client and agency needs
  • Secure strategic partner buy-in for foundational content projects including video, web sitemaps, detail aids, etc.
  • Establish and maintains communication throughout lifecycle of all projects
  • Proactively communicates any anticipated delay of deliverables against deadline
  • Take time to work with his/her direct reports on both areas in need of improvement as well as teaching them to leverage inherent assets
  • Deliver constructive feedback, early/often and in-person

PRODUCT AND CONTENT KNOWLEDGE

  • Understand product, category and competition so that can easily participate in any strategic discussion
  • Developed and demonstrate a thorough ownership of the brand narrative, key messages and data along with the ability to verbally communicate it internally and to clients
  • Utilize his/her experience across different therapeutic categories to help guide team and offer new perspective to client

STRATEGY

  • Understand the agencies strategic direction. Stays abreast of industry drivers. Keeps up to date on key client’s challenges, opportunities and competition
  • Is a key contributor alongside of the account lead and is working to establish long-term relationships that enable trust, pushback, better work, referrals etc.
  • Take an active interest in clients’ market and develops a sound knowledge of clients’ product and target audiences. Keeps current with industry trends
  • Educate clients on the value of branding and marketing communications. Works with account and planning team to understand and develop solid strategies for client initiatives

  • Dive enthusiastically into new business opportunities and brings ideas and new thinking to the table to secure wins

Minimum Required

Bachelor’s degree

Appropriate portfolio

10-years design related experience in advertising or marketing agency

Managed client interactions

Advanced conceptual ability with sophisticated design sense

Healthcare industry/medical field experience

Knowledge of Mac OS platform
