Casting Call: Investigating the Supernatural: Miracles

Series Logline: Join journalist Billy Hallowell as he travels around America to unravel the mysteries of miracles, angels, demons, heaven, and hell. In this documentary series, Billy will evaluate the scientific evidence for spiritual phenomena, uncover long-forgotten biblical truths, and examine stories of the supernatural in our world today.

Part 1: Miracles Does science disprove the supernatural? Do miracles happen today? If so, why does God heal some and not others? In this episode, Billy investigates the evidence for supernatural healings, examines what the Bible actually says about miracles, and talks with people who claim to have experienced them.

Job Description:

We are seeking additional talent submissions for an upcoming documentary reenactment project in the Hampton Roads/VA Beach area. This casting is for lead and supporting roles, with more casting announcements to follow for other roles.

Role: Bryan

Character Breakdown:

  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 35-40
  • Ethnicity: Caucasian
  • Physical Attributes: Brown hair, brown eyes, average frame
  • Accent: New Jersey accent (if possible)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray Bryan, a cop who suffers a life-changing accident on the job, resulting in paralysis on the right side of his body.
  • Work closely with the director and fellow actors to bring the character’s emotional journey to life, emphasizing the struggle and ultimate miracle experienced.
  • Participate in scheduled filming dates and maintain professionalism on set.

Requirements:

  • Prior acting experience, particularly in dramatic roles, is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver lines with a New Jersey accent (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Availability for the following filming dates: August 21, 22, 23, 26, 29 (with a hold on August 27, 28).
  • Willingness to undergo travel arrangements as negotiated (mileage reimbursement and hotel accommodations as necessary).

Compensation:

  • Rate: $600 per day (less fees)
