As the Director of eCommerce Marketplaces, you will define and drive the long-term strategy to aggressively grow the United States Direct business. You will play an important voice at the leadership table, providing a strong and challenging influence across the entire market leadership team bringing thought leadership and energy to challenge the sales strategies by continuously developing new and existing initiatives. You will need to champion the e-commerce B2B business in planning, delivery, and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strategy for the eCommerce marketplace businesses and deliver against top line targets and KPIs
- Manage all aspects of the marketplace channel, including financial forecasting, advertising strategy and campaigns, inventory management, customer experience, site merchandising, reviews, CX, reporting, etc.
- Manage departmental P&L, exceed quarterly and annual budgets, and manage marketing spend.
- Proven track record of driving business results through online marketplace thought leadership.
- Lead channel marketing and advertising initiatives on prioritized platforms (i.g. Wayfair, Amazon, Overstock, etc.) while improving return on advertising spend
- Manage marketing investment and product KPIs to include ROAS, CPC, CTR, Conversion Rate, Impressions, and share of the business.
- Work with cross-functional departmental leaders to improve speed to consumer and item-level forecasting accuracy / in-stock rates
- Drive company sales with all online and e-commerce channel partners/customers and catalog accounts to achieve top-line and bottom-line goals.
- Develop and execute the company’s overall e-commerce channel strategic plan in alignment with the overall company’s strategic roadmap.
- Implement processes and best practices to ensure alignment with evolving channel partners’ requirements.
- Improve the profitability of the channel.
- Merchandise a complex SKU assortment for an eCommerce account base while providing feedback on data-based product gaps and trends to the product development team
- Account relationship management with all online and e-commerce channel partners
- Handle all channel partner queries and initiate inter-departmental coordination for accounting reconciliations.
- Ensure complete channel partner satisfaction and resolve all grievances with utmost priority.
- Ensure proper product content is developed and shared with the channel partners.
- Ensure new product listing on partner online portal and enhance current listings.
- Manage pricing to avoid any cross-channel conflicts and maximize channel profits.
- Ensure inter-departmental coordination for smooth, daily order execution.
- Achieve 95% of target TAT and ensure minimal loss of revenue due to delayed shipments.
- Reduce returns with accurate product information online; identify and fix all possible drivers of returns.
- Ensure process setup complies with customer requirements and all departments are notified.
- Participate in customer-driven promotions for maximizing revenue.
- Prepare and drive the annual company online promotional plan calendar to maximize revenue.
- Constantly innovate and develop product merchandising from an online and e-commerce perspective.
- Manage and develop eCommerce team and outside agency relationship
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 5+ years of prior B2B or B2C experience developing online strategies.
- Customer-centric, highly skilled at relationship building with clients and suppliers.
- Proven success managing cross-functional teams and external agencies to accomplish key goals.
- Adept at assessing needs, generating options, and implementing solutions in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
