JOB DESCRIPTION – CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Job Type: Part-time (25 hours / week M-F)
Pay: $50-$65 / hr
Location: Choice of Offices (Toronto / Vaughan / Oakville), with some days Remote
Reports to: CEO
We are looking for a creative leader to join our fast-growing organization: Someone who can push our creative boundaries, drive an emotional connection with our customers and elevate our organization!
What You Will Do
- Direct the overall creative strategy to build increased brand awareness of Ultramatic and increase our overall return on ad spend
- Finetune our brand guidelines to support our corporate values, ensuring all internal and external digital executions adhere to the brand standards harmoniously
- Articulate our brand look and personality for different customer avatars / segments
- Develop create assets that promote our products and explain their benefits, for digital and print media as well as in-store merchandising
- Be responsible for the creation of copy, graphic design, photography, advertisements, emails, and video – for use on our website, landing pages, ppc platforms, social media sites, print, SMS and TV
- Oversee the marketing calendar and go-to-market plan for all product and category launches, promotions and campaigns
- Periodically, lead the redesign and UX of our website, ecommerce flow, social media sites, and in-store customer experience
- Lead process to recruit and evaluate creative vendors and new hires
- Be the lead creative contact with our SEO, PPC and Website contractors and agencies
- Participate in a cross-functional team that maps out the ideal customer journey for each customer avatar and articulates the value each customer segment seeks to receive from Ultramatic
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in sales, operations, and finance to support their roles and identify synergies
- Oversee the budget for creative services and advise stakeholders on the most effective use of the budget to achieve the objectives
Who You Are
- University/College degree in Marketing, Design or related field, with a diploma in Graphic Design
- 6+ years of art/creative direction experience in an agency or 8+ years in an internal creative department
- Experience with brand building through creative ideation and technical execution
- Demonstrated capabilities in creative software and copy writing (Figma, Sketch, Canva, Adobe creative suite, Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop + Animate, Premiere and After Effects, Anyword, etc)
- Media production experience (print, video, web, etc)
- Team player who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves for any task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have an online portfolio for viewing
- Organized self-directed and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner
- Global awareness of visual trends
- Experience in the furniture industry or with the senior demographic is a bonus
