[RECITER] – 30’s – 60’s, any gender identity . A narrator and emcee who act as a bridge between the contemporary American audience and 1980s Japan.

Also plays the emperor. Commanding, charismatic, in control, with a twinkle in their eyes.

[KAYAMA YEZAEMON] – 30’s -40’s. Baritone. A minor Samurai chosen by the Shogun to defend Japan against the foreigners, he later becomes a Governor of Uraga.
Over the years, Kayama embraces western ideology and customs, coming into tension with his friend, Manjiro. He is dutiful and honor-bound, proud.

Open Casting Call: FELLOW TRAVELERS – Seeking Extras (RICHMOND, VA)

Kendall Cooper Casting is looking for extras to work on the upcoming SHOWTIME limited television series “Fellow Travelers”. This will be a period piece set in the 1950’s and production will be filming in Richmond, VA on October 9th and 10th. 
 
The casting team is looking for people who can easily portray a classic 1950’s look. Casting men and women of all ethnicities to play business men, secretaries, reporters and also seeking musicians who can play brass instruments. 1950’s hair styles are a HUGE plus. All men will need to be clean shaven. We will be giving period appropriate 1950’s hair cuts. Please note we will be limited by the period costumes available, so please be sure to include ALL of your current sizes in your submission. 

All roles will require a costume fitting in advance of filming. Fittings will be starting September 30th and continue into the first week of October. Production is also seeking cars from the 1940’s and 1950’s era. Please submit your period vehicle with your submission if you have one and please note if you have experience driving these period vehicles.

Apple TV’s ‘SWAGGER’ House Party Casting Call

Seeking People Ages 18-30 years old

To be extras on SWAGGER in RVA this Friday September 2 for a Night Shoot house party scene. 

Open Casting Call: SWAGGER Season 2

Kendall Cooper Casting is now accepting submissions for extras to work on the second season of the Apple TV+ show “Swagger”.

Filming will be in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas July through November 2022.

Mandatory local COVID testing will be required before any in-person work. Testing will be provided by production.

All extras will need Zone A COVID clearance. Covid-19 vaccination is not a requirement to be considered for an extra role.

If cast, covid testing will be provided by production and a negative covid result will be required as a condition of employment.

PPE/Masks and other COVID-19 protocols are in place to ensure the safety of all cast and crew.

Masks will be required at all times, except when appearing on camera.

Seeking SAG and Non-Union talent.

• All extra work, testing and fittings are paid.
• Local hire only, no travel or housing provided.

Filming will generally take place Monday through Friday and is often a 12+ hour commitment for each day of work.
