Job Description

A feature film is casting background performers to portray gala waiters and live band members during an elegant black-tie event. Casting directors are seeking hospitality professionals and experienced musicians to help create an authentic gala atmosphere. Musicians should be proficient with one of the requested instruments and comfortable performing on camera.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray gala waitstaff or band members during event scenes.
• Follow on-set direction from the production team.
• Maintain professionalism and continuity throughout filming.
• Musicians will realistically perform with their instrument for on-camera scenes.

Requirements

• Ages 18–65.
• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent welcome.
• Waiters should be comfortable wearing black-and-white service attire.
• Band members should have experience playing one of the following:
  • Electric Keyboard
  • Electric Guitar
  • Drum Kit (played with brushes)
  • Stand-Up/Upright Bass
• Available for night filming.

Compensation

• SAG-AFTRA: $231 for 8 hours, plus overtime and applicable allowances.
• Non-union: $13.00/hour (approximately $104 for 8 hours), with time and one-half after 8 hours.
