New movie theaters will feature rainstorms, snow, and warm air to simulate scenes featured on screen.

According to Variety, 4DX is the future of moviegoing.

Movie theaters are in for some very stormy weather now that CJ 4DPlex is rolling out its three newest effects: snow, rainstorm and warm air.

The inclement weather simulations will be shared with the public for the first time at CinemaCon, the annual exhibition trade show taking place this April in Las Vegas. It’s part of what the company has dubbed its 4DX experience.

The new additions join 4DX’s catalogue of standard effects, which include motion, water, fog, wind, air, lightning, bubbles, ticklers, scents and vibration. The idea of 4D theaters, which remain more popular in foreign countries than in the U.S., is to heighten the theatrical experience by pumping auditoriums with effects that mirror the on-screen action.

The first movie to feature these new 4D features include ‘Furious 7’ and ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’. If you are interested in experiencing a 4D movie theater, check out Regal L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

A sequel to last year’s ‘Need for Speed’ is coming soon.

According to reports, ‘Need for Speed 2’ will be filmed in China, with a majority of the roles being played by Chinese actors after a new production deal was signed into effect earlier week.

From Variety:

Much of “Need for Speed 2″ would be filmed in China, with the nation’s actors also taking significant roles, according to an announcement of the new arrangement by joint venture partners China Movie Channel Program Center, Jiaflix Enterprises and 1905 Pictures, along with Electronic Arts, creator of the “Need for Speed” videogame.

The partnership can not proceed until it negotiates to secure rights to a sequel, which are currently held by DreamWorks. Those talks have not yet begun, according to a studio representative.

The first ‘Need for Speed’ was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia and featured ‘Breaking Bad’ star Aaron Paul. However, after several bad reviews the movie underperformed in the box-office. However, internationally the movie made a ton of money. In China alone the movie made $65 million.

‘Need for Speed’ is based on the wildly popular video game which has made more than $4 billion in retail sales over the last twenty years.

‘She’s All That’ remake coming soon with a more diverse cast.

‘She’s All That’ is getting an official remake from Miramax and The Weinstein Company. This time Spike Lee’s wife, Tonya Lee Lewis, will produce the production and will be directed by Kenny Leon.

Kenny Leon will direct the remake, which Spike Lee‘s wife, Tonya Lewis Lee, will produce under her Tonik Productions banner. Miramax will also produce the remake, having released the original 1999 movie, which grossed more than $100 million worldwide.

“She’s All That” followed a high school jock (Prinze) who makes a bet that he can turn a shy art student into his high school’s prom queen. The remake will follow a similar premise and is expected to be developed with diverse leads in mind.

With its theme of physical transformation, it should come as no surprise that “She’s All That” was based on “My Fair Lady,” and thus, “Pygmalion.” [The Wrap]

Leon and Lee previously worked together on the Hallmark Channel’s ‘The Watsons Go to Birmingham,” which starred Wood Harris, Anika Noni Rose, David Alan Grier and Shameik Moore. Leon previously directed the ‘Steel Magnolia’s remake starring Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard, Jill Scott and Phylicia Rashad.

It has been 16 years since the original ‘She’s All That’ movie debuted and a lot has changed. Audiences are more interested in a diverse cast and this teenage romantic comedy may hit home with an ever wider audience than it did in 1999.

The creator of ‘Fresh Off the Boat’ refuses to watch the show.

Eddie Huang, whose memoir the ABC comedy ‘Fresh Off the Boat’ is based, has always had a problem with the show. Several months before the show even aired Huang commented that his book was authentic while the show was watered down. Huang pointed out that he disagreed constantly with ABC executives about the show. However, Huang would later do the voice-over narration and go on a promotional tour for the show.

But, it is important to point out that Huang is still not happy. He took to Twitter to reveal that he does not even watch the show he created.

Eddie Huang also had comments for the Deadline article that said that there are too many minorities on television nowadays.

‘Empire’ Producer Plans to ‘Beg’ Eminem to Be on Second Season

During yesterday’s ‘Good Morning America’ film and TV producer Brian Grazer, the producer behind ‘Empire’ stopped by to promote his new book, ‘A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life’.

During the course of the interview, George Stephanopoulos asked him about the future of ‘Empire’ in season 2. Here’s what Grazer had to say:

“Eminem, I know, loves our show. And I produced 8 Mile. I’m going to beg him to get on our show. He and Oprah Winfrey. Somehow I’m going to get one or both of them on our show.” [Source]

Since the executive producer of ‘Empire’, Lee Daniels, worked with Oprah Winfrey in the past, I don’t see it hard to believe that Oprah will make an appearance in Season 2. As for Eminem? Well, he has not done much since ‘8 Mile’ but, the actor did have a cameo on ‘The Interview’ so who knows.

The show’s premiere ranked as Fox’s highest-rated debut in three years. Viewership has increased continuously; Empire is the first series in at least 23 years to have its viewership increase week to week for its first five episodes. With the growing number of fans expect actors, models, and musicians of all genres lining up to join the cast of ‘Empire’.

‘Human Centipede 3’ will feature a ‘500 person prison centipede’.

The first ‘Human Centipede’ was released in 2009 and it featured three people sewn together mouth-to-anus. The sequel, ‘Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence’ was released in 2011 and featured a 12-person chain created by a man who became obsessed with the first film. Well, producers have decided to up the ante becuase in ‘Human Centipede Part 3’ will feature a 500-person human centipede made of american prison inmates.

Bully prison warden Bill Boss (Dieter Laser), leading a big state prison in the US of A, has a lot of problems; his prison statistically has the highest amount of prison riots, medical costs and staff turnover in the country. But foremost he is unable to get the respect he thinks he deserves from his inmates and the state Governor (Eric Roberts). He constantly fails in experimenting with different ideas for the ideal punishment to get the inmates in line, which drives him, together with the sizzling heat, completely insane. Under threats of termination by the Governor, his loyal right hand man Dwight (Laurence R Harvey) comes up with a brilliant idea. A revolutionary idea which could change the American prison system for good and save billions of dollars. An idea based on the notorious Human Centipede movies, that will literally and figuratively get the inmates on their knees, creating the ultimate punishment and deterrent for anyone considering a life of crime. Having nothing to lose, Bill and Dwight create a jaw-dropping 500-person prison centipede.

This sounds like one long game of telephone but, nothing good is coming out at the other end.

Here’s the true story behind the nearly fatal accident that left a stunt double paralyzed on set of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows’.

We all know the cast members of the Harry Potter films. How exactly these casting directors chose three child actors and know they would grow into talented actors is beyond me.

While it is impressive to see amazing actors grow up in front of our eyes, we can’t forget that a lot of people put years of work into making the feature films that we love so much. One such person is Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double David Holmes.

Holmes had worked alongside Daniel since 2000 on the first six Harry Potter movies. Through several quidditch matches and duels, Holmes and Radcliffe worked together to create amazing stunts and exciting scenes for years.

Sadly, as Holmes was working on a flying stunt for ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’ in 2009, he was thrown against a wall, fracturing his neck and leaving him paralyzed from the neck down at only 25-years-old.

In an amazing twist, Daniel Radcliffe wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Holmes is more than just “a person in a wheelchair,” and that he deserves to be recoginzed as a great stunt double, but also a good friend.
