According to reports, the sequel to “Halloween”, “Halloween Kills”, is now filming under the production title “Mob Rules”. “Halloween Kills” is set to be the sequel to the 2018 movie which saw the return of Jamie Lee Curtis. David Gordon Green is returning to helm Halloween Kills as well as the third installment, Halloween Ends.

Universal and Blumhouse’s Halloween reboot movie opened to $76.2 million. It is the highest opening in the franchise’s history. The film ended up earning over $255 million globally and $159 million in the U.S. on a budget in the $10 million range.

According to Deadline, Kelsey Grammar will star in a political romantic indie. The film is described “as a fictional account inspired by true events that altered the world for women in America and deals with the discrimination that both black and white women suffered and the legislation which gave them their rights and the legal foundation for the Times Up moment today.”

Grammer will play a Southern Congressman who feels the world-changing in 1964. He meets Grace Gordon who has returned home following the death of her father and sees life-changing around her. Grace is pushed into an uncomfortable situation where she feels women are continuously marginalized and with the help of Congressman Worth, they end up changing the world for the better.

Tom Hanks will star in “News of The World”. The book is set in 1870 and revolves around a road trip through the West by two unlikely partners. Deadline describes the movie’s plot as follows, “Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd is a Texan who travels from town to town to read the news to locals who would otherwise not know what is going on in the world. While Kidd is sparked up by spreading the word of the passage of the 15th Amendment that gave voting rights to all men, he agrees to escort a 10-year-old white girl to her aunt and uncle in San Antonio after she was rescued from the Kiowa Indian tribe that kidnapped her and killed her family four years earlier. His traveling partner is an ornery youngster who didn’t want to be rescued and brought to her relatives.”

Shia LaBeouf’s Parents Saw ‘Honey Boy’ Movie and Found It “Tough to Watch”

Shia LaBeouf‘s parents found his new movie “Honey Boy” movie was “tough to watch”.

After premiering at Sundance, Shia LaBeouf’s latest project “Honey Boy” is praised by critics across Hollywood. That said, LaBeouf said his parents found the semi-autobiographical movie “tough to watch”.

In an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter”, the actor revealed that his mother and father had seen the movie. “It was tough for them to watch it, yeah, but I think, also, they can have distance with it as well,” he explained. “I mean they really, more than they care about this movie shit, they care about their kid, you know? So they’re happy with my reaction to it, and they know that I wouldn’t have shared it with them unless I was proud of it.”

The 33-year-old actor wrote the movie as part of his rehabilitation program and is titled after his childhood nickname. The movie centers around his relationship with his father, which is played by LaBeouf. His father in the movie is an alcoholic who attempts to raise his son to become a successful actor. Lucas Hedges and Noah Jupe both play LaBeouf at different ages.

Chris Evans has impressed casting directors when it matters most. He managed to land the leading role as Steve Rogers, and turn him into one of the most beloved characters in Marvel Cinematic history. Chris Evans nearly didn’t accept the role, until Robert Downey Jr. suggested it was the perfect opportunity for him.

Starring in a Marvel movie has opened a lot of doors and opportunities for Evans. He was able to start directing, play different leading roles he may not have had access to had he not landed the role in Marvel.

Chris Evans may be famous now, earning opportunities without having to audition. However, the actor has experienced his fair share of embarrassing and horrible auditions. During an interview with Details Magazine, Chris Evans opened up about his career and some awkward audition experiences. When asked to discuss his worst audition ever, Chris Evans said,

“This is good. I’ve never told this story on-camera, but it’s funny. It was for Gone Baby Gone. I was going, and I was going to meet Ben Affleck. This is good. I’m glad I’m telling this. Parked my car, walked into this building, and I just heard somebody say, “There he is!” It was from Ben. Immediately, I don’t why I was nervous. I just got nervous. Got nervous. Walked in the room, shook his hand, and I said, “Hey, nice to meet you. Am I going to be okay where I parked?” And he was like, “Where’d you park?” And I said, “At the meter.” And he said, “Did you put money in the meter?” And I said, “Yeah.” And he was like, “I think you’ll be okay.”

While Chris Evans focused on this award moment, rather than his audition, it’s clear he was nervous, leading the actor to ask about his car, despite doing the right thing.

Chris Evans may be an A-list actor now, back in the days of “Gone Baby Gone” he was still an aspiring actor, trying to break out in the film industry. As a result, standing across from Ben Affleck was quite intimidating for a young actor.

According to WhatCulture, Chris Evans immediately wanted to exit the room following this encounter, which likely ruined his ability to focus and get into character for the audition, as he did not appear in the movie.

Lionsgate’s $100 Million Investment is Great News for New York Actors

Lionsgate is building a $100 million movie studio in Yonkers, New York.

According to reports, Lionsgate is set to invest in New York’s film industry with a $100 million motion picture studio complex in Yonkers.  Construction on the site is set for 1 Larkin Plaza near the Hudson River will start in November and be up and running by late Autom 2020.  The entertainment complex will include five sound stages, three 20,000 square-foot and two 10,000 square foot stages, along with a fully operational backlot.

“It’s rare to find a studio facility in such a prime New York metropolitan area location, and we look forward to being at the center of film and television production growth in the region,” Lionsgate CEO Jon Feitheimer told USA Today.

Lionsgate will have naming rights to the studio and the studio complex will be located less than 30 minutes from Manhattan on the Hudson River next to the new Yonkers train station.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano called the studio complex is a “game-changer” for the city.

“Yonkers already hosts dozens of on-location shoots every year with film days tripling over the last five years, so building a permanent sound stage here makes perfect sense. We are thrilled to have Lionsgate partner with Great Point Capital Management and National Resources to make this happen.”

Lionsgate’s production facility is a new joint-venture with Great Point Capital Management and real estate investment firm National Resources. Great point is an entertainment investment fund with investments and financing for more than 50 production companies. Their clients include Lionsgate, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Google, Sky, and BBC.

Lionsgate Films is an American film production and film distribution studio, headquartered in Santa Monica and founded in Canada, and is the flagship division of Lionsgate Entertainment. It is the largest and most successful mini-major film studio in North America.

It focuses on foreign and independent films and has distributed various commercially successful film series, including The Hunger Games, Rambo, Divergent, The Punisher, and John Wick.

This summer Savannah Georgia will be the cinematic host for the new Amazon limited series “The Underground Railroad” based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead.

Helmed by Academy Award-winning director *Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk), The Underground Railroad, is an alternate-history of an epic story that revolves around Cora, a young female slave in Georgia who daringly escapes her plantation and discovers an Underground Railroad: a magical network of tracks, tunnels, and steam engines built by slaves to transport runaways to safety in the north. We follow Cora on her harrowing journey from state to state, each a unique world with unexpected dangers, as Ridgeway, a determined and violent slave catcher relentlessly pursues her.

We expect to shoot this next week on or about the 16th of September or possibly the late end of September
