Buzz circulating Marvel Studios suggests that Jonathan Majors may be replaced as Kang the Conqueror.
Reports indicate that Marvel Studios may have a contingency plan to replace Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror in case of unforeseen circumstances. In a recent episode of The Hot Mic podcast, Jeff Sneider—an insider in the Marvel world—revealed that actor X could be replaced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after he was accused of assault.
On March 26, Jonathan Majors was apprehended in New York City for purported domestic violence against an unnamed 30-year-old female. The actor has continued to assert his blamelessness, and his legal representative recently divulged that the accuser had retracted her previous assertion. Sneider has reported that Marvel Studios and Major’s camp have reviewed the dilemma and outlined possible solutions.
Initially intended to be an important figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Multiverse Saga, Jonathan Majors has already had a memorable impact in Disney+’s Loki Season 1 finale and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as Kang the Conqueror. The villain will be featured in Loki Season 2, and he is set to appear in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Jeff Sneider has noted that Damson Idris, the star of FX’s crime drama Snowfall, is a potential replacement. “Even though there hasn’t been any movement on the Jonathan Majors front, I’ve heard that’s the kind of actor, who, like, if Jonathan Majors got the boot as Kang, someone like Damson Idris is the type of the person that [Marvel] may look at to replace him if that happens,” Sneider proclaimed.
