In relevant news, Kanye West’s YEEZY Partnership with Gap stock caused a 42% jump. The American fashion company saw a stock jump as a direct result of Kanye’s YEEZY announcement.

News of “YEEZY GAP” caused a sudden stock price jump, which added more than $1 billion to Gap’s stock market valuation, lifting it to around $4.8 billion. That said, despite the deal with Kanye, Gap stock is still down more than 20%.

The 10-year partnership will see Kanye design a line of affordable clothing to be sold online and at physical locations. Gap is hoping Kanye will generate $1 billion in annual says over the course of five years. The fashion company also said the rapper will receive royalties and possible equity for the sales of YEEZY Gap.

George Lucas Wants To Direct New Star Wars Movies (REPORT)

George Lucas reportedly wants to direct a new ‘Star Wars‘ trilogy.

According to reports, George Lucas wants to direct a new, original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy. We Got This Covered reports the world-renowned filmmaker would like to develop and direct it for LucasFilm. However, only under the condition the company’s current leader Kathleen Kennedy is not involved in the project.

Lucas reportedly does not have a great relationship with Kennedy at the moment. He blames her for “ruining” the trilogy and supposedly wants to become more involved with his franchise in the future.

The sequel trilogy includes ‘Star Was: The Force Awakens,’ ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ and ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ continued the story of ‘ Return of the Jedi’. While the movies made billions at the box office, many fans feel they are not the same as the previous six movies.

Disney’s Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger has released an autobiography called “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned From 15 Years As CEO of The Walt Disney Company”. The autobiography tells a long list of inside stories about the companies. One of the most intriguing stories is George Lucas’ dislike of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. In a passage from the book, Iger explains the reaction Lucas got from the film.

“Just prior to the global release, Kathy screened The Force Awakens for George. He didn’t hide his disappointment. “There’s nothing new,” he said. In each of the films in the original trilogy, it was important to him to present new worlds, new stories, new characters, and new technologies. In this one, he said, “There weren’t enough visual or technical leaps forward.”

George Lucas has been quite open about his dislike of “The Force Awakens”. In a 2015 interview with Charlie Rose, the director said “They wanted to do a retro movie. I don’t like that.” He added he did not like what he saw as a safe film from Disney.

Netflix ‘Space Force’ Casting Directors on The Importance of Casting “New, Fresh Faces”

Netflix’s ‘Space Force’ casting directors, Allison Jones, and Ben Harris, spoke with Variety about the casting process for the series.

The casting team talked about Ben Schwartz and how his acting career has progressed since his breakout role in ‘Parks & Recreation’, Schwartz points to the influence Allison Jones has had on his acting career. He explains, “They find the funniest people and they bring them in and keep bringing them in. She [Jones] had to bring me in a lot of times ‘til anybody cared. She pushes for them — pushes for people like me who they think are funny … and then finds a way to put them in a show where they fit the best.”

Casting Director Ben Harris agreed with Schwartz saying how much they help talent adding, “We pride ourselves on bringing in new, fresh faces, but I think it’s also there are plenty of journeyman actors that have been at it for a long time. We know that they’re some of the funniest people out there, and they’re just waiting for the right role.”

Jones and Harris previously worked with ‘Space Force’ creators Steve Carell and Greg Daniels on ‘The Office’.

The fictitious Space Force is led by four-star Gen. Mark R. Laird (Carell) along with chief scientist Adrian Mallory (John Malkovich). Carell and Malkovich are joined by an ensemble cast, including Noah Emmerich, Owen Daniels, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers, Jimmy O. Yang, Jessica St. Clair, Lisa Kudrow, and the late Fred Willard.

‘The Matrix’ Director Reveals The Movie is Really About Being Transgender (VIDEO)

‘The Matrix’ co-director Lilly Wachowski is giving fans details on what the movie is really about. Essentially, it centers around transformation and being transgender.

“That was the original intention. But the world wasn’t quite ready,” says Lilly Wachowski, who revealed her transgender status with her sister and ‘Matrix’ co-director after the movie hit theaters.

Wachowski broke the news in a Netflix video earlier this week confirming fans’ suspicions. “I’m glad that it has gotten out,” she said.

The first ‘Matrix’ movie came out in 1999. “The corporate world wasn’t ready,” said Lilly but, she confirmed that many transgender people understood the movie and thanked the director.

She points out Switch, a character in the first movie, as an example of the film’s intention to be about transgender. In the original script, the character changes genders upon entering the Matrix, where he is a male in the “real” world and a female in The Matrix. Warner Bros. decided to cut the scene from the movie and decided on just one gender in the original movie.

Wachowski said she always like science fiction to explain what she was feeling. “We were existing in a space where the words didn’t exist, so we were always living in a world of imagination.”.

In more Matrix news, ‘Matrix 4’ is now casting and hiring actors for scenes filming in San Francisco, California.

The Matrix is one of the most popular movie franchises of all time. The Sci-Fi franchise created by The Wachowskis centers around the creation of artificial intelligence, which leads to a race of self-aware machines that have imprisoned humanity in a virtual reality system called ‘The Matrix’ and are used as a power source. Every so often, some of the prisoners break free and become a threat to the future of The Matrix.

The first movie was a critical and commercial hit. The production won four Academy Awards and became a pop-cultural phenomenon. The Matrix Reloaded was an even bigger hit movie becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film inhibitory. As of 2006, the film has generated $3 billion in revenue. Warner Bros. Pictures has confirmed a fourth ‘Matrix’ movie is in development with Lana Wachowski co-writing and directing and Keanu Reeves reprising their roles.

Netflix Cancels ‘Money Heist’

Netflix’s ‘Money Heist’ is getting one last season.

Netflix has confirmed they are ending ‘Money Heist’ and the show will have one final fifth season.

Netflix broke the news via Twitter and the show’s own Instagram page with the headline “The heist comes to an end,” confirming the fifth season will also be the show’s final season.

Season four ended with a massive cliffhanger, and the show’s creator Alex Pina said the final season will only get more intense. 

 “We’ve spent almost a year thinking about how to break up the band. How to put the Professor on the ropes,” he says. “How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters. The result is the fifth part of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.” 

Production is set to start this month in Spain, Denmark, and Portugal. That said, the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic may delay filming.

There is no current release date for ‘Money Heist’ season 5. So fans of the series should definitely follow @projectcasting for updates.

In relevant news, Netflix’s ‘Ozark’ is getting one last season.

Season 4 will feature two separate seven-episode runs, for a total of 14, and “mark the final chapter in the Byrde family’s journey from suburban Chicago life to their criminal enterprise in the Ozarks,” according to Netflix.

“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving ‘Ozark’ more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” ‘Ozark’ Chris Mundy said Tuesday in a statement. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

John David Washington Lied About His Dad Being Denzel Washington

John David Washington Used To Tell People His Dad Was In Jail To Avoid Nepotism in Hollywood

In a recent interview with Mr. Porter, actor John David Washington, Denzel Washington’s oldest son, revealed his way of breaking into the entertainment industry by secretly hiding the fact he was related to one of the biggest A-list actors in Hollywood.

“I was related to Denzel Washington,” he says. “I saw how people changed when they found out who my father was.”

“I used to lie, saying he was a construction worker or in jail, just to have some sense of normalcy. I felt like there was no way people would take me seriously, even if I was good. They would always judge me. So I hid who my father was. I guess I was protecting myself.”

Before becoming an actor, he started playing in the NFL before getting the leading role in HBO show ‘Ballers’ with Dwayne Johnson. The opportunity came after he retired from football from an Achilles injury.

“It doesn’t even guarantee you will make it, but if you don’t, you can almost guarantee that you won’t,” was his father’s advice when he told him he would be starring in the series.

It would be his nomination for Spike Lee’s Oscar-winning film ‘BlackKklansman’ boosted his acting career as he tried to build his own way in Hollywood.

Washington is set to star in the upcoming Christopher Nolan movie ‘Tenet’, and recently released a secret quarantine production with actress Zendaya called ‘Malcom & Marie’.

Washington says he understands how important it is for a Black man to have a platform and use it wisely. He hopes to build opportunities, which have been destroyed due to years of racism.

“As an African American, what gives me hope about where we are going is the amount of people that don’t look like me on the front lines. I think they do actually have an understanding, a real understanding of what the problems are, the systemic issues. And they’re paying attention,” he said.

In relevant news, following the death of George Floyd, a video with Denzel Washington helping a man with a police encounter is going viral and fans are calling the actor a real-life superhero. On May 22, TMZ reported Washington stopped and helped a homeless man who was “in some peril with oncoming traffic.” Video footage of the incident shows Denzel Washington comforting the man and waiting with the man during an encounter with police.TMZ reported the man  was “detained — not sure why but possibly to make sure he was okay — then released.”

About Actor John David Washington:

John David Washington is an American actor, known for his leading roles in the films BlacKkKlansman (2018) and Tenet (2020). He was born on July 28th, 1984 in Los Angeles to actor-director Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington.

Washington attended high school at The Potomac School in McLean, Virginia. He then went on to study at Morehouse College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006.

Washington began his acting career with an uncredited role in the 2007 film The Great Debaters, which was directed by his father Denzel Washington. In 2012, he appeared as a recurring character on the HBO series Ballers.

In 2018, Washington starred in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman as Ron Stallworth, an African-American police officer who infiltrated a local Ku Klux Klan chapter. The performance earned him nominations for Best Actor at both the Golden Globe and Academy Awards.

In 2020, Washington starred in the Christopher Nolan action film Tenet. He played the role of an unnamed secret agent tasked with preventing World War III from happening. The film received praise for its intricate plot and visual effects, as well as Washington’s performance.

Washington is also a former American football running back who was signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He retired from football in 2008, citing a desire to focus on his acting career.
