Hylton Casting is currently casting Core Prisoner Extras for the HBO Max series Staircase. This series is based on the true story of Michael Peterson. The Prisoners will play an integral role in the series as they are featured in multiple episodes and will be required to work multiple dates during the filming of the series September – November, 2021. This recurring role will require professionalism, some acting experience, and a flexible schedule to commit for the duration of filming. Please review the breakdown below for more information and to submit.

Prisoner Extras
-Men, ages 18 and older, all ethnicities
-May have facial hair. The makeup department has full authority to approve or ask to shave.
-Visible tattoos may be allowed. No logos, recognizable characters, or symbols.
-This role will work in various scenes throughout the filming of the series.
-Must have a flexible schedule
-If you are selected, we will provide you with the specific work dates and dates that you will be required to sequester.
Hotel Quarantine:
-The Core Extras that are cast to work in these scenes will be required to sequester in a hotel for an extended period of time.
-Extras will check in 3 nights before their first filming date and stay through the entire duration of their filming dates.
-The hotel accommodations would be provided by the production. You will not have to pay for the hotel or parking.
-Extras will receive a quarantine bump of $232 each day + $53.50 per diem each day that they are sequestered. This bump and per diem will be applied to an extras voucher. You would receive payment 2-3 weeks from the date.
-You will be responsible for paying for your 3 meals a day since your per diem will not be added until you work. The per diem is provided based on the following breakdown of meals – Breakfast = $9.50, Lunch = $14, Dinner = $30. This will not be cash, but will be applied to your extras voucher on the date that you work. You would be responsible for ordering and paying for your own food during your quarantine. This can include delivery from a restaurant or a food app. You must eat in your room and not in the restaurant or bar area.
-You must quarantine alone in your room and not leave. There will be no visitors allowed including other quarantined extras. No use of the hotel gym, pool, or spa.
-You must quarantine in the hotel. Extras will not be permitted to quarantine at home. This will be required regardless of your vaccination status.
-COVID-19 testing will be required daily at the hotel.
-You will be required to bring multiple wardrobe options with you to the hotel in preparation for your filming date. You must bring all necessities with you to the hotel.
-Please only submit if you have open flexibility.
-If you are selected for this extra role, you must be willing to quarantine for a minimum of 3 days prior to shoot date, quarantine at a hotel in a production “bubble” before and during the shoot, and submit to testing cadence before and during the shoot, which may include multiple COVID-19 tests prior to shoot.
-The test performed is a Covid-19 PCR (nasal swab) Test.
-While at the test facility and on set, PPE must be worn.
-All possible work dates are contingent upon clearing these tests.
-You may not provide test results from another outside source. You MUST be tested by the STAIRCASE Health and Safety team.
-Background performer services: $104/8 hrs ($13/hour, you are guaranteed 8 hours, with applicable overtime).
Call Time:
-Call time will not be provided until the day before the filming date. Please do not submit if you do not have open availability for the time frame listed above.

- Male, Caucasian, age range 30s-60s, natural looking, conservative. Men-suit jacket size 36-42, waist size 30-38, smaller average sizes to accommodate period clothing. NO colored hair, NO modern/quirky haircuts, NO shaved bald heads. NO visible tattoos or piercings (any arm/leg/wrist/ankle tattoos will not be accepted). MUST be clean-shaven, NO facial hair although a small tidy mustache may be acceptable IF you are willing to let the makeup Dept trim it to be period appropriate. NO beards or goatees. MUST be willing to allow Hair Dept to give you a period appropriate hair cut (will be paid $15 if they need to cut your hair). This scene takes place in 1892. Small scene with only 15 people
