The Creative Director (CD) is a dynamic agency leader who drives the creative vision across multiple teams to create and produce award-winning solutions for clients. CDs lead portfolios of client business, build and lead multidisciplinary teams, and routinely interact with key senior clients and stakeholders. The CD will be a senior leader at Chernoff Newman, responsible for elevating the work developed by the creative team while also integrating with our brand strategy, research, client engagement, interactive, channel strategy, PR and social media teams. The CD reports directly to the President of Advertising.

Requirements
- Extensive team leadership and development experience
- 15+ years of experience in the agency or brand world
- Bachelor’s degree in related field: advertising, journalism, communication, marketing, design etc.
- A diverse portfolio that showcases a refined eye for strategy, design and copy across a variety of project types and mediums
- Demonstrable high-level skill within the Adobe Suite
- Extensive knowledge of UX/UI, interface design, digital and social platforms
Responsibilities
- Inspire all levels of creative leadership within the agency
- Provide high-level concept guidance to optimize creative work
- Promote and facilitate a culture of collaboration between our team and our clients
- Present and deliver concepts and deliverables to existing and prospective clients
- Foster ongoing improvements in creative processes and methodologies
- Ensure creative objectives and approaches align with both agency and client goals
- Collaborate with the President on staffing plans and overall reporting structure for the team
- Conduct ongoing performance reviews of the team and provide team members with opportunities to grow and thrive creatively
- Drive Chernoff Newman’s brand presence through compelling marketing and storytelling across clients, partners, and professional networks
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including Client Engagement, PR, Interactive, Social Media and Channel Strategy
- Oversees the management, production, and execution of all Chernoff Newman opportunities
- Responsible for approving timelines, feedback, edits, and final work within the CN team, multiple inter-agency teams, and/or the client facing team.

Requirements
- A minimum of an associates (2 year) degree in advertising, communication design, or visual arts. A bachelor (4 year) degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of design experience in an agency setting is required.
- If no degree is possessed, then 6–8 years related experience in agency setting is required.
- Must possess exceptional computer skills. Macintosh operating platform a must. Thorough knowledge of the following software applications is required: Adobe Creative Cloud, Keynote and any widely utilized word processing application.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing tactics.
Specific Responsibilities Include
- Primary Responsibilities: Art Direction/Graphic Design
- Interact with Copywriters, FE Developers to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned product(s).
- Possess solid understanding of the science and market dynamics of assigned product(s).
- Work closely with account executives to schedule and monitor all projects.
- Provide accurate time and cost estimates for each tactic.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks, as directed by Creative Director or ACDs.

Description
Our creative team is growing, and we’re looking for a senior-level, multi-disciplined Senior Art Director to join our team. Overall, the Senior Art Director will provide leadership in areas of conceptual creative solutions, inspire clients and team members with great visual design, and operate in a collaborative approach as part of a larger team. This role is responsible for concept and design for broadcast media, interactive, social, and traditional advertising like print and direct mail, and producing bold, strategic, persuasive ads across all mediums that meet the strategy and goals of our clients. The Senior Art Director must be able to conceptually deliver ideas while also working these ideas through layout and production. The Senior Art Director will work closely with the creative and account teams, reporting directly to the Creative Director and having numerous interactions with all members of the agency, including presenting and working directly with clients.

Responsibilities
- Develops concepts and/or storyboards, collaborating with Production as needed
- Lead client presentations with a demonstrated vision of how the work addresses a client challenge
- Possess a solid understanding of the science and market dynamics of assigned product(s)
- Interacts with Copywriters and FE Developers to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned product(s).
- Works closely with account executives to schedule and monitor all projects
- Gives input to Traffic to generate a more accurate Key-Date Schedule after concepts are selected
- Provide detailed direction to designers
- Assist in the education and development of designers
- Responsible for giving and receiving approval for timelines, feedback, edits, and final work within the Chernoff Newman team, multiple inter-agency teams, and/or the client-facing team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field: Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, Advertising or Visual Communications
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products; ability to edit video is a plus
- 8+ years of experience within an advertising agency setting
- Experience, talent, judgment, and imagination for the creation of an advertisement
- Skilled in critique and criticism and be able to manage and supervise both art and copy
- Understanding of both the interactive and social media world of advertising
- Strong detail orientation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work as a team player
