Casting Call: Voice Actor for Character “Horns” in Cyan Void Video Game Series
Job Description: We are casting for the role of “Horns,” a dynamic and complex character in the upcoming video game trilogy Cyan Void, developed by ZylerWorries4U. This long-term, voluntary project explores themes of found family, self-fulfillment, and redemption, set against a backdrop of an expansive universe. The character Horns is the God of Lust, with a complicated past as a genocidal maniac now seeking redemption. Horns has two distinct personalities that switch at will, each requiring a different vocal approach. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase versatility and depth in voice acting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide voice acting for the character Horns, capturing the dual personalities: one that is suppressive, fussy, and guilt-ridden, and another that is talkative, nerdy, and playful.
- Deliver lines that vary from menacing and aggressive to calm, introspective, and humorous, depending on the scene.
- Participate in live directed recording sessions via Discord, as required by the project.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure the voice matches the character’s development and storyline across multiple games.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform two distinct vocal styles for the character Horns: a deep, slightly crispy voice for the main personality, and a more upbeat, nerdy tone for the alternate personality.
- Experience in voice acting, particularly in roles that require switching between different emotions and personalities.
- Ability to provide high-quality recordings with minimal background noise (any microphone is acceptable if it meets this standard).
- Commitment to a long-term project, as the character will carry over into future games.
- Ability to follow the submission guidelines, including providing recordings in ABABCC format, with a maximum of two takes per line.
Compensation Details:
- This is a voluntary project with no monetary compensation; however, it offers the opportunity to gain experience in a unique and creative video game series with potential for future recognition.
