About the Role:

Planet is seeking a full-stack Social Media Manager to join our Communications and Marketing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about Planet’s mission, space, rocket launches, global events, and thrives in people-oriented environments.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the social voice for a company at the intersection of tech, defense, and AI. The successful candidate will work within a highly effective and diverse communications team that values collaboration, strategic thinking, and creative storytelling. This role requires a knack for community management, a curious mind, and the ability to turn complex technical and business concepts into engaging, digestible content that resonates with a global audience of customers, investors, and the general public.

Candidates are strategic, digitally savvy, and data-driven professionals who can craft a compelling brand voice and amplify our mission across all social channels, from the fast pace of X to the professional gravitas of LinkedIn. A passion for storytelling using excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail are critical.

This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • This person will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy for both Planet’s corporate brand and limited members of the executive team, including its CEO and Co-Founder.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy for all of Planet’s corporate channels, including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, and YouTube.
  • Create and manage the executive social media presence (starting with the CEO) on X and Linkedin, including content strategy, ghostwriting, and community engagement.
  • Oversee all day-to-day social media operations, including content creation,light video creation and editing, scheduling, publishing, community management, and real-time monitoring.
  • Partner with global cross-functional teams including Marketing, Government Affairs, and Product to align social media efforts with broader business goals, markets, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Marketing video content creators both in-house and agency side to create compelling engaging content, reaching Planet’s audiences where they are.
  • Analyze social media metrics and trends to inform strategy, optimize performance, and report on key KPIs to leadership.
  • Identify and manage proactive brand moments and provide reactive support for issues that may arise.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cultural and social media trends and platforms, and identify real-time social moments that are relevant to Planet to help increase brand awareness.

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in social media management, with experience creating and managing successful social media campaigns, community management, and audience engagement for a technology company.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft both short and long-form digital content, including social copy, video scripts, and executive communications.
  • Experience in executive social media support, including ghostwriting and building a personal brand.
  • Strategic and creative thinking with the ability to develop integrated digital programs that align with business goals.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience using social media analytics tools to measure performance and inform strategy.
  • Proficiency with creative tools like Adobe Creative Cloud to rapidly produce high-quality graphics and videos for social media.
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is listed below.  Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). KCBS/KCAL is looking for a creative and dedicated Camera technician.  The primary duty of this camera technician will be working with News Reporters and Producers and involves shooting quality, compelling and creative visual content. This video photographer will travel light and work quickly, and the ideal candidate should be adaptable and nimble enough to capture fleeting moments. We are seeking someone proficient in shooting, lighting, and editing who can bring compelling stories to life.
They must possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great outlook. A passion for storytelling is essential. The camera technician is also to respond to breaking news stories when the situation warrants. This position must be able to contribute to original reporting, enterprise stories, and have the ability to work well under pressure to make deadlines.

General Responsibilities:
•Candidates must demonstrate an ability to direct lighting, set overall visual look and related technical specifications for     projects, and sound as a one-person crew or as part of a team.
•Ensure that all pictures and sounds are of the highest quality and properly recorded.
•Work closely with Talent and Producers by providing support logistics and shot requirements.
•Operate ENG vehicles.
•Maintain all gear, including crew vehicles, working with appropriate departments to keep all gear up to date and in working order.

Qualifications:

Hiring Salary Range: $101,297.56 – 128,293.88.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. The Role

Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.

This position is intended for the hardware integration group in E50.  The incumbent will be responsible for development and maintenance of component technical manuals.  This position regularly communicates with the NAVY, NNL, and Engineers/Designers across departments via email, phone, and in-person meetings.  This position requires regular attendance of meetings that discuss hardware and software changes impacting the individual’s assigned manual(s).  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Paint Editor and must be knowledgeable of Adobe Acrobat, Windows, and Microsoft Edge.  Job responsibilities will include performing validation and verification tasks of component technical manuals.

Must Have

Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate’s Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have

Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience is preferred.
Candidate should be familiar with hardware and software troubleshooting.
5 or more years of experience in researching, editing, writing, and developing technical manuals
Experience in Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) is preferred.
AutoCAD Experience is preferred, but not required.

The UFC Creative Ops & Production Coordinator will support the Paramount Streaming Design groups. This role will support all UFC design needs including key art, digital display, motion design, out of home, social, etc. Supports end-to-end production workflows for UFC, serving as the support liaison across internal teams, vendors, and agencies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality assets. This is a fully onsite role (5 days/week). We strongly prefer candidates located in or able to commute to the New York City office, but we are also open to considering candidates for our Burbank, CA office.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
● Work closely with Streaming Design team leadership in resource planning and management
● Work with internal design creative production and agency teams ensuring deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget
● Partner cross-functionally with managers and directors of campaign project management, program marketing, production and social
● Manage creative project workflow by planning, tracking, managing and leading all steps in the creative life cycle, including dependencies
● Set up, facilitate, and host status meetings, track action items and share notes
● Work closely with Creative Directors and creative team to define creative concepting process and structure of reviews specific to project needs, and to prioritize and align team on daily and weekly basis, keeping an eye on pipeline of projects
● Facilitate the scheduling and agenda for creative reviews
● Facilitate all stakeholder communication regarding timelines, status updates, and potential risks to the project, and partner with internal teams to identify issues early and suggest workable solutions
● Identify areas for process and workflow improvements, and recommend and implement strategies for increased production efficiencies
● Document workflows and processes and maintain repository
● Reporting on throughput and optimizing process

QUALIFICATIONS:

● 0-3+ years’ relevant experience
● AA or Equivalent
● Passion for working on the production and delivery of motion design/graphics and/or digital out-of-home, key art or digital display
● Familiar with Jira, Google Suite, Microsoft office, Asana, Airtable, and/or other productivity tools
● Some technical acumen related to design creative deliverables, with knowledge of key technologies and tools

● Good understanding of production and creative operations processes and timelines
● Passion for leading complex projects with tight deadlines and multiple dependencies
● Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple partners at all levels of a corporate organization
● Interest in managing project scope, budget and resources
● Superb verbal and written communication skills to relay information simply and clearly to cross functional departments
