Production Assistant Job for Chocolate Manufacturing and Café Operations
Job Description
Soul Chocolate is seeking a Chocolate Production Assistant to join its team in Toronto. This hybrid position combines hands-on chocolate production responsibilities with customer-facing café duties, offering a unique opportunity to work across multiple areas of a growing artisan chocolate business.
The successful candidate will help produce chocolate products, support packaging and wholesale preparation, assist with café operations, and contribute to the company’s busy seasonal production schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with chocolate production and manufacturing processes.
- Package finished chocolate products for retail and wholesale distribution.
- Support wholesale order preparation and fulfillment.
- Prepare coffee and other café beverages.
- Provide excellent customer service and engage with café guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in production and café areas.
- Assist with seasonal product launches and production initiatives.
Requirements
- Interest in chocolate production, food manufacturing, or specialty coffee.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Experience in chocolate production or coffee preparation is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and contribute across multiple areas of the business.
Compensation Details
- Starting pay: $18 per hour
- Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
- Three consecutive days off each week.
