Casting Call: Presenter Host with MSC Cruises
Job Description: MSC Cruises is seeking multiple charming and magnetic personalities for contracts as Onboard Presenter Hosts. Presenters are the life of the party on every deck, hosting a wide range of events from trivia to Bingo to deck parties and athletic events. We are looking for high-energy, authentic, fun-loving individuals who shine in the spotlight and love getting to know guests. Contracts will be in 3-month increments with full availability required from July to November 2024.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support current onboard teams with presenter duties, maintaining high standards and good morals reflecting MSC’s family values.
- Plan and program events and attractions to maximize potential and guest experience.
- Execute the program using the SOP, appealing to guests of all ages and nationalities.
- Create long-term SOP and Work Practices for the role.
- Develop new concepts for the US Canvas and work with the shoreside team on delivering it.
- Seek out guest contact with outgoing attitude, enthusiasm, and self-motivation, inviting guests to play and join in on the fun.
- Host many activities and events aimed at English-speaking (US) guests, including Sail Away/Welcome Aboard pool party, Poolside events & games, Branded & Licensed activities, Game Shows & trivia events, DJ sets, and other activities.
- Engage with guests in various activities including Branded & Licensed activities, Sail Away, Welcome Aboard pool parties, and more.
- Ensure a positive and energetic atmosphere, encouraging guest participation and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in entertainment hosting positions, or experience and expertise as a Master of Ceremony or Presenter with US audiences.
- Fearless in front of an audience, skilled in improvisation, and thriving in an environment at sea.
- Guest-oriented, demonstrating commercial availability and customer promises, utilizing customer service skills by exercising authority and discretion to satisfy guests of all levels, nationality, gender, and age, in a manner consistent with company standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational planning, and leadership skills.
- Must obtain Crew Medical and Safety Certificates prior to starting the contract (costs and obtainment are the candidate’s responsibility).
Compensation Details:
- Rate: $4000 – $4500 per month based on experience.
- Travel and onboard lodging provided.
