The Fragrance Shop, the UK’s leading independent Fragrance retailer is now recruiting for a PR and Influencer Manager to join the Brand Marketing team located at our Head Office in Trafford Park, Manchester.

 

You’ll be responsible for creating and coordinating engaging and innovative strategies for the business (The Fragrance Shop, Scentaddict and Beauty) and all activity in line with this. Working closely with the social, campaigns, creative and brand partnership teams, you will deliver creative PR and communication strategies for newsworthy and impactful campaigns with press and/or influencers, building awareness by driving and amplifying customer engagement across various marketing channels and generating sound ROI.

 

This is a new and critical role that will help to shape and deliver the vision of The Fragrance Shop brand (and the other brands that sit within TFS) moving it to the forefront of digital during an ambitious period of growth.

Person specification:

 

With the number of candidates expected to apply for this newly created role within a growing and successful retailer, we will only be able to proceed forward with candidates who match our essential requirements stated below:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Marketing, PR, Journalism or related (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years related PR, Marketing, Social Media experience with demonstrated success in the role(s) working for either a brand or an agency
  • Experience developing and executing successful PR campaigns
  • A very good understanding in PR, Content, Social Media and Brands
  • Strong press and influencer contacts already established
  • Experience identifying and managing talent and getting the best out of them
  • Excellent knowledge of media and influencer landscape (able to know what is on trend and will get us traction)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to effectively manage key working relationships
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for fragrance and beauty
  • Excellent persuading and influencing skills at all levels
  • Ability to work in collaboration with various stakeholders

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Report to the Head of Brand to develop and implement the brand’s PR and Influencer strategy across the UK and abroad (when needed)
  • Work closely with our PR agency to help design and deliver all national and regional (where required) communication campaigns
  • Develop and deliver effective PR and Influencer campaigns and tactical activity
  • Manage public relations and media (inbound and outbound)
  • Review, develop and oversee any partnership events and plan as part of a joined up external relations and marketing approach
  • Work with brand partnerships team to conduct marketing events and negotiate marketing budget, executing agreed commitments and reporting on success
  • Acting always as a brand ambassador, ensuing consistency of key media coverage
  • Create and update PR materials for all the brands
  • Ensure our charity initiative remains prominent as part of the TFS brand
  • Manage budgets and deliver clear, results-focused reports
  • Manage PR and Influencer events (that deliver reach, content and engagement as well as generating ROI)
  • Develop and effective influencer outreach program. This includes understanding who are the right influencers for our brands to be working with and how do we ensure we get the most out of the relationship with them (authentically)
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (CRM, Creative, Social, Performance Marketing, Campaigns, B&M) to ensure our PR and Influencer campaigns are aligned with the overall business plan
  • Work alongside content team to ensure multichannel and holistic view of all content on-site, and out to press and influencers, facilitating content seeding and in-bound/out-bound links
  • Deliver reports highlighting how our PR and Influencer activity performs in terms of reach, engagement and sales
