UCS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Art Director / Graphic Designer

 

The qualified candidate will have a solid understanding of graphic design and print design principles. And will use text and artistic media to communicate design ideas and graphics that meet UCS Spirit specific marketing needs. The ideal candidate will be able to utilize a variety of media in order to achieve the desired artistic or decorative effects.

Job Title:

Art Director / Graphic Designer

Essential Functions-

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

·        Develop and execute creative concepts for marketing campaigns

o  Print

o  Web

o  Email

·        Coordinates and manages photo shoots

o  Organize a photographer

o  Location,

o  Illustrator

o  Models

o  Props 

·        Adhere to and develop UCS branding guidelines

·        Utilize advanced technology to create visual and multimedia presentations

·        Oversees the entire production process, procuring and liaising with external vendors (i.e. printers and mailing houses).

·        Will manage UCS marketing initiatives

o  Implements marketing and advertising campaigns

o  Ensures promotional materials are ready and on stock  

·        Manages, coordinate and develop projects within budget and scheduling requirements.

·        Maintain technical knowledge through attending design workshops; enrolling in continuing education, reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.           

 

Skills/Qualifications:

·        At least 5 years professional experience as an Art Director and 3 years of professional experience in graphic design pertaining to both web and print mediums.

·        Must know Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

·        Must know Desktop Publishing.

·        Must have Dreamweaver experience

·        Must have CSS and HTML (intermediate level) and PHP(entry-level) knowledge

·        Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Flash and Captive

·        Must have talent, skill, knowledge and experience in producing print and web materials

·        Content Management System (CMS) experience needed

·        Highly creative, original, intuitive and perceptive.

·        Able to think visually.

·        Able to solve complex problems and think logically and critically.

·        Works well under pressure and able to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast paced and changing environment.

·        Ability to manage photo shoots.

·        Marketing experience needed.

·        Creative writing skills is a plus

·        Ability and willingness to learn UCS full product lines

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

 

Education:  Bachelor Degree in Art, Graphic Design, Multi-Media or related field.
