Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Creative Copywriter to work within our fast paced Marketing & Creative Departments to execute compelling copy for assets and campaigns across all channels. This role develops the brand voice and identity of our customer and company as a whole, while also creating engaging copy for all relevant areas. This role must also bring a fun, inventive, and flexible approach to each project. The Creative Copywriter will work with a team of multi-level designers and reports directly to the Art Director
Job duties:
• Owns and drives brand tone strategies in collaboration with Art Director
• Creates copy that employs fun, descriptive, and customer/brand appropriate content.
• Develops compelling strategies that translate brand campaigns and e-commerce needs into product-forward messaging that drives sales.
• Writes for homepage creative, emails, promotions, print, social media campaigns, events, blogs, and other company related tasks. Innovates and adds next-level creativity and ideas to group meetings regarding brand voice direction and other creative uses for copy within various marketing campaigns.
• Is a master of creative messaging strategies and can assume the personas of different customers. Multitasks projects in a way that is self regulated and autonomous in order to achieve assigned objectives.
• Follows up weekly, or when needed, with the Art Director and Marketing VP to discuss workflow status, deadlines, and approvals.
• Attends weekly meetings and is available to meet when needed. • Assists on projects as needed with the ability to iterate quickly and creatively.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist with updating seasonal bottom page SEO copy as needed.
• Continue to build and add value to our copy library – for both creative and internal strategy purposes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
• BA or BS in writing or related field/experience.
• 5-7 years of experience as a copywriter.
• Strong interest and experience in E-Commerce.
• Has exceptional written, grammatical, and communication skills.
• Must be able to quickly adapt to the unique tone, tenor, and personality of a brand’s customer base with relative ease.
• Must have an agile ability to collaborate in the moment and communicate POV with ease.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Experience with photography a plus.
• Understanding of Asana a plus.
• Experience working with a Studio team a plus.
• A strong knowledge and interest in social media platforms, trends, influencers, and pop culture.
• Expert knowledge of sentence structure, advanced grammar concepts and the ability to pivot from classic language to customer specific tonality.
• Must be flexible with tackling multiple projects at once that involve micro and macro copy concepting across all brand channels.
• Strong knowledge of pertinent writing tools and the ability to work with various writing programs.
• Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously/independently to reach personal and calendar specific goals.
