ART DIRECTOR

 

We’re looking for a driven and talented Art Director, with over 7 of years’ experience.

 

The ideal candidate must be passionate about bringing creative ideas to life. This position requires an in-depth understanding of imagery, composition and design, as well a strong ability to innovate and collaborate across departments and marketing initiatives.

 

You’ll work closely with the rest of our creative department, including the designers, makeup design, stylists, photographer, and multimedia team, and will be responsible for the look of the overall finished product.

 

You should be up to date with all the greatest and latest trends, techniques, and styles – from films and music, to art and fashion – and will constantly seek creative inspiration from different sources. Equally, you’ll be just keen to learn about our clients and their products/services.

 

You’ll know your way around the Adobe suite and will be able to produce work from digital scamps right through to designed client decks. You’ll be able to create fresh ideas using original sketches, stock libraries, in-house photography, and equally, be able to source original artists, who you can brief and direct. You’ll be as comfortable presenting work to clients and internal teams as you are briefing art workers and designers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Oversee package design, makeup direction and photo shoots
  • Partner with Creative Director to implement strategy and development of all creative campaigns, ensuring a consistent and relevant look and feel across channels and platforms
  • Remain current on emerging trends to bring consistently fresh thinking and ideas to the team
  • Thoroughly understand and clearly convey a cohesive brand voice throughout all marketing materials with on time delivery to the brief specifications.
  • Understand the design elements of projects, inspire other creative workers, and keep projects on time
  • Collaborate with copy partners, developers, marketing team, and others to obtain outstanding information and ensure all changes provided have been implemented. 
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, practicing effective communication with team members and managers at all times
  • Be able to provide artistic direction and guide ideas, from concept to execution
  • Be detailed-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Be able to over see photo shoots and give direction when needed.
  • Oversee in house and freelance photography.
  • Manage and direct various graphic designers through mood boards and clear direction.
  • Creating and delivering presentations to the highest standard.
  • Meet rigorous deadlines and be flexible enough to adapt to altering priorities.
  • Consistently seek to push the creative for each project, challenging the brief given.
  • Collaborating with production and post-production teams, ensuring that you are conscious of timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with copy partners, developers, marketing team, and others to obtain outstanding information and ensure all changes provided have been implemented. Incorporate feedback, comments, and changes from stakeholders swiftly with a positive, solution-driven attitude.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

 

  • A self-motivated and experienced creative with strong conceptual and communication skills coupled with an acute attention to detail.

  • An ability to deliver a high standard of presentation, sketching concepts and ideas quickly and efficiently.

  • Have a positive, collaborative attitude.

  • A passionate individual with a strong fashion sensibility.

  • Have a flair for Halloween costume/ Cosplay and makeup design

  • Excellent research and connecting skills. Awareness of current creative trends and innovations.

 

  • Provide creative quality control over concepts and execution

  •  7+ years of experience in a creative/design role with expertise in typography, both printed and digital design

  • Exceptional portfolio of graphic design and photo art direction required

  • Self-driven, detailed oriented and accustomed to juggling multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines

  •  Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

 

This is a full time position located in Westbury, NY (Nassau County, Long Island). This is NOT a work from home opportunity, you must be able to report to the office Monday to Friday.
