Senior Designer/Art Director

ROLE: SR. DESIGNER/ART DIRECTOR

TEAM: CREATIVE

LOCATION: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 2-3x/week in office); Open to working hours of 11am-7pm EST

OVERVIEW

The Senior Designer/Art Director at Salt, you should have extensive knowledge of graphic design, styles, and techniques. You should also have experience in implementing marketing campaigns. Ultimately, an excellent hire for this role will ensure that the design team promotes the vision of the company through high-quality graphic content.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all design projects from concept to delivery
• Manage all graphic design tasks, refine projects and drafts, and generate creative ideas
• Create original artwork and review the drafts of Junior Graphic Designers to ensure quality work
• Create and manage digital and print designs for our marketing needs
• Design graphic content, illustrations, and infographics
• Manage graphic designs from conception to delivery
• Review junior designer drafts to ensure quality
• Generate fresh concepts
• Ensure brand consistency throughout various marketing projects
• Liaise between the marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met
• Keep up to date with industry developments

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• A Graphic Design qualification or similar
• Portfolio with design projects
• 8+ years proven work experience as a Designer
• Working experience with Adobe CS and more
• A keen eye for visual details
• Aesthetic skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with team members
• Experience with motion design and/or HTML5 a plus
