Live Event Performer – No Phones in Schools Initiative

Job Description
A statewide live event is seeking high-energy talent to play Frankie Focus, a mascot performer for the “No Phones in Schools” initiative. This role requires physical stamina and charisma to engage diverse school audiences across New York. Performers will bring excitement to educational events while wearing a full-body mascot costume.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform as Frankie Focus at school events across New York

  • Use physical comedy, mime, improv, dance, or theater skills to engage audiences

  • Maintain high energy while performing in a full-body mascot costume

  • Adapt performances for both indoor and outdoor events, regardless of weather conditions

Requirements

  • All genders, ages 21–45

  • Height between 5’5”–5’9”

  • Shoe size 9.5–10 (US men) / 11–12 (US women)

  • Comfortable with physical performance and audience interaction

  • Must pass background checks as required

Compensation

  • $300 per event (up to two events per day) + 10%

  • Comfortable working evening hours (5:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

  • Able to work all event dates and attend training session

  • Prior experience with Halloween events or special effects makeup is a plus

Compensation

  • $125 per night
