This new role represents an exciting opportunity to join the expanding Editorial department. Based in the vibrant town of Cheltenham, we are an enthusiastic and motivated team seeking to appoint new talent. 

 

Reporting to the Senior Editor, Elgar Original Reference, the ideal applicant will possess:

 

  • A demonstrable interest in publishing and the social sciences
  • Strong motivational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Support storytelling through lighting, sound, design, editing, and more

Requirements

  • Positions available:

    • Assistant Director (1st AD)

    • Production Designer / Art Director

    • Sound Recordist & Boom Operator

    • Gaffer / Lighting Crew

    • Script Supervisor

    • Editor

    • Composer (urban/ambient tone preferred)

    • Production Assistants

    • Social Impact Outreach Coordinator (optional)

  • Experience with indie or social issue-driven projects preferred

  • Ability to work with low-budget resources in a high-impact creative environment

  • Must be reliable, passionate, and open to storytelling collaboration

  • Some roles may be remote or open to support from India

Compensation

  • Low-budget project: Expenses covered

  • Profit-share and deferred payment options available
