SOREN WEST is currently seeking a Creative Director; reporting to the COO, you will sit at the intersection of creativity, amazement and engagement, to conceptualize, develop and execute on breathtaking experiences. From true immersive experience, to stage design for live event or broadcast, we expect you to provide creative vision and leadership throughout the process. You will lead and mentor a talented team of in-house and external creative personnel, to deliver world-class experiences.
*This position is remote but will require some in-person meetings on occasion. Our teams are in Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with client, creative & strategy teams to understand needs, then quickly and iteratively support development of client pitches and presentations that share our vision.
- Understand the company’s strategic goals and incorporate them into decision making.
- You are an individual contributor as well as a leader. You are able to execute all visual design stages from sketches to concepts to final deliverable, and lead a team.
- Develop and maintain project guidelines, objectives and priorities
- Supervise the creative department’s daily workflow, assign project workload, and monitor deadlines and budgets.
- Direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions.
- Generate ground plans & stage plots & accurate 3d models of environments.
- Deliver engaging creative pitches and stories that meet the expectations of the client, with intelligence and energy.
- Start a project off from an incredibly strong position and come up with surprising, cool concepts to move it forward.
- Review final copy, layouts and content in print or digital form for accuracy and completeness.
- Help build tightly knit teams of high performing in-house and freelance talent, evaluating how to improve our collective abilities and shared knowledge.
- Inspire and mentor creative teams and participate in their development and success
- Collaborate with the creative teams in the development of concepts
- Ensure your team’s daily & weekly goals are clearly communicated and any internal blockers are brought to a quick resolution.
- Work with other members of the creative team to resolve any unforeseen issues that arise during the creative, production and delivery process
- Work with the design and marketing team to produce new ideas for company branding, project build outs, and marketing communications.
- Understanding the world of immersive entertainment and experience design; bringing these ideas and concepts to the table for discussions and developments
- Have authority on, insight into, and a finger on current trends, including pop culture, art, technology, fashion, music, and architecture.
- Stretch your skills across film or animation, graphical images, web pages, collateral materials – to name just a few.
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity to complex design roadblocks.
- Establish and work within brand design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in creative direction including a combination of positions such as art direction, production designer, visual designer, or similar, in multimedia, live events, architecture, theater, creative management, museums, or other relevant / related field
- Strong & diverse technical skills including, but not limited to:
- 3D design & modeling software
- 2D visual design & drafting software
- MS Office suite
- Google tools
- Keynote
- Extensive knowledge of graphic design, 3D design, and modeling software is a strong asset
- Proven ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously, to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Strategy, writing experience, with a strong knowledge of design, architecture and new technologies
- Skilled in managing human and creative resources
- Ability to make decisions, delegate and negotiate
- Display a positive attitude in all interactions with internal and external teams.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects. This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills. They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. They are responsible for maintaining the company’s production assets and working with the department production calendar so that equipment is ready for each project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.
- Work with Production team to build sets for production needs.
- Assist with general duties.
- Maintaining production equipment before and after projects.
- Coordinate the tracking of all production assets.
- Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
- Support with reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
- Ingest media into company’s archiving system and prepare media for Editors.

- Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
- Color grading at intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
- Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
- Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
- Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
- Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
- Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
- Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
- Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
- Strong video resume required. This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
