The Historical Society of Princeton is hiring a Museum Assistant. This is a new position that plays a central and fundamental supportive role in the daily and strategic activities of the curatorial, educational, and outreach aspects of HSP. These include:
Curatorial: Assist with collections management, registration and cataloging, digitization, interpretation through exhibitions and programming, and related tasks.
Educational: Assist with programming from development through implementation, leading programs and tours, and training volunteers.
Guest Services: Assist with general site care (i.e. weekly walkthroughs), museum opening/closing, and act as first point of contact for guests.
Outreach: Assist with social media accounts, manage Google Adwords account, content creation and overall online engagement.
Hours and Compensation:
Hourly rate of $22 across 27.5 hours per week (11 AM – 4:30 PM Wednesday – Sunday).
Ability to work onsite the majority of scheduled hours, with flexibility for remote work when appropriate. This is a permanent, non-grant funded position. You’ll be the go-to creative for a couple of our accounts, leading creative teams with a focus on the best work possible. Guiding and shaping great ideas that hit the client briefs and make us all proud. Adept at presenting, you are able to work alongside client partnership teams to build our web3 presence. You’re used to negotiating your way to the best creative answers for the campaigns whilst keeping clients on our side. But you also know when to push back on the client’s feedback, and how to defend the work with grace and meaning.
For this role we need someone who is equal parts wordsmith and visual tastemaker. Your skills hail from the copy side of things – not only adept at conveying concepts with clarity, but write copy that motivates and connects across campaigns and media. That doesn’t mean that you don’t know visuals. Your years of experience will have added a depth of understanding visual language to your core skills. You’ll be working with visual partners be they creators, designers, editors or film makers and know how to make the most of their skills and draw a team together.
This is a full-time role based in NY, FL, or CHI.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Set the example to foster an environment of a more judgement-free creative world, by producing and testing a high volume of insights-based content.
- Lead the development and execution of creative content rooted in insights for a variety of clients, including executing independently and responsible for overall output of the creative product
- In collaboration with a CD partner, you will mentor and manage a full creative team of 15+ people, including designers, writers and creators.
- Collaborate with inter-agency departments and teams to develop a variety of content needs that meets creative and strategic criteria (client briefs, feedback, client KPIs, etc.), and delivers on measurable business results for your client

As an Art Director at Ubi MTL, you’ll be at the helm of the creation of a rich, captivating, meaningful world players will immerse themselves in. You’re fundamental to a game’s development: a member of the core team, the connection between the creative vision and the artists, the voice of the art team, and a brand ambassador.
You’re a visionary who motivates, inspires, and supports an artistic team to transform concept to reality. As an empathetic leader, you not only provide your team with guidance but you let their encouraged ideas shape the artistic direction you set. You have the talent and known expertise to jump in and help produce visual content that is aligned with the creative vision and is, of course, AAA+ quality.
Thanks to your exceptional presentation skills, you can communicate your artistic vision to the brand management team to share with the public. You provide the visual guidelines for promotional material, ensuring consistency and bringing the in-game world to life.
What you’ll do
- Work with the producer and core creative team to define the vision of a game.
- Partner with lead artists to develop the artistic tone (set the ambiance; explore locations, key moments, emotional contrasts, characters, etc.).
- Create the visual style guide of a game (put together mood boards, references, and descriptions).
- Coordinate and oversee the art team throughout production.
- Find balance between artistic aspects and technical constraints.
- Provide leadership and constructive feedback to achieve quality.
- Collaborate with members of interdependent teams in all stages of development.
- Participate in recruitment to build the artistic team & foster its growth.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Leadership experience in the video game industry (or other relevant experience)
- Knowledge of Photoshop and 3D software (e.g. 3DS Max)
- Understanding of art fundamentals and artistic culture
- A highly creative, collaborative, and empathetic spirit
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, interpersonal, presentation, and mentorship skills
- Ability to accept feedback and adapt to it
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in visual communications
