Essential Functions

Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding food quality, safety, labor, employment, and Union guidelines, as well as Company policies and procedures.
  • With the direction of the Restaurant Managers, execute strategic plans to optimize operational profits while maintaining quality, cleanliness and Guest Service standards.
  • Supports the employee and guest satisfaction programs and ensures the staff understands the importance of the programs.

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3+ year’s quick service food management experience with multiple large high-volume food service operations and managing a team of 20+ employees.

Job Description

  • Coordinates and assigns technicians to set up, install, repair, and maintain all equipment and venue technical processes.
  • Ensures ride and attraction readiness to open on time.
  • Ensures equipment is maintained in accordance with USH Policies, practices and standards.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled shift meetings with the Technicians:
    • Direct and confirm work assignments & emphasis to address issues.
    • Review and communicate safety requirements and practices. Ensure training assignments are completed.

  • Oversees technical interaction with Non-ride Personnel, Vendors, Sub-contractors, Engineers, and other relevant 3rd person parties involved with Show and Ride systems. Insures a clear line of communication regarding any maintenance activities.
  • Advises, coordinates, and is accountable to the Senior Manager, Rides, Director of Rides & Transportation and Director of Engineering regarding the status and engineering quality of ride and attraction systems including areas of risk or potential future risks.
  • Confirms appropriate labor levels with Managers and Sr. Managers. Addresses unplanned overtime & meal penalties.
  • Ensures that collective bargaining agreements are upheld by partnering with HR and Labor Relations to maintain positive union relationships.

As an Attractions Assistant Manager (Pets), you will be responsible for assisting the Attractions Manager with maintaining strategic and daily operation plans that support overall Guest and Team Member satisfaction of the attractions.

Job Description

NBCUniversal’s Studio Operations group within the Operations & Technology Services organization has an opening for an experienced Vice President of Production Services Operations. Reporting to the SVP of Studio Services, the VP of Production Services Operations has full P&L responsibility and leads the development strategies for delivering best-in-class production services to all internal NBC Universal productions and third-party clientele. Those services include Set Lighting, Grip, Administration, and Transportation teams.

The position is responsible for providing the vision, leadership, and a collaborative execution of strategies, policies, and goals in alignment with those of NBCUniversal and the Operations & Technology Services leadership. Immediate emphasis will be around driving the development and implementation of a Studio Services strategy focused on leveraging data and insights to identify efficiencies and opportunities to enhance our client’s experience, and long-term initiatives that contribute to the advancement of our organization and financial health.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • In Partnership with the SVP of Studio Services, help define and implement the operational strategy, structure, and processes for Studio Services.
  • Develop an analytical culture using historical and current operational data to drive predictive analytics for the business.
  • Enable more disciplined management of service, cost performance, and optimization initiatives through the design and development of reporting and analytics.
  • Own and define the key performance indicators (KPIs) and diagnostics to measure performance against the Studio Services strategy.
  • Implement processes and systems that generate higher productivity, and measure gaps between actual and desired levels of process capability, employee performance, service levels, and other key business outcomes.
  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of Universal’s offsite Production Support operations in Los Angeles, New York, Illinois, New Mexico, and Georgia.
  • Work with the Market Development Team to manage the annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities.
  • Coordinate divisional support needs with HR, finance, and support service business.

  • Minimum 10 years of senior management expertise overseeing production studio services, or supply chain operations, or logistic experience managing large-scale multisite operations.
  • Experience with complex operational, process, and performance improvement projects, including process mapping and process re-design.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building a culture of continuous improvement for process and operations, and a track record of successfully managing large teams across locations.
  • A strong understanding of working in a union environment, including contract knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3+ year’s quick service food management experience with multiple large high-volume food service operations and managing a team of 20+ employees.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work rotating schedules, holidays, weekends and nights
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking/traveling to multiple venues throughout the day

Desired Characteristics

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in hospitality management or business administration preferred
  • Experienced in Quick Food Service
  • Must be able to express ideas clearly and logically and should love to write. Must demonstrate good judgment
  • and a strong sense of ethics in deciding how to respond to the guests concerns and issues while keeping company business models in mind
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, food related Point of Service system (i.e. EATEC & Clarity)
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to provide creative solutions to guest situations
  • Ability to work in a high paced, repetitive teamwork environment
  • Theme park experience preferred
  • Experience managing in a union environment
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Quick thinker with the ability to make sound decisions
  • Able to manage effectively under deadlines
  • Previous experience with creating and managing budgets.
