My client is looking for PR and Communications Director to manage and oversee the creation and implementation of a comprehensive and targeted PR and Communications strategy. Reporting to the Business Director you will be responsible for the following: –

•Developing and implementing an annual PR strategy with a business-driven approach in order to raise awareness and profile.

•Developing an advocacy program including Influencers

•Curating traction with opinion leaders to grow our advocacy, increase awareness, reach and add to the acquisition strategy

•Acting as the main PR contact for all national and local media, nurturing and developing relationships, pitch ideas and circulating press releases

•Pulling together all content needed for the media

•Managing and executing all PR activity, campaigns, global campaigns, brand launches or brand events

•Developing stories and maintain coherence between PR and Marketing

•Working closely with our Global Senior PR Director and the Global PR team to ensure alignment on international PR initiatives

•Maintaining an effective relationship with the Crisis & Reputation Director to efficiently manage crisis and media tier enforcement to preserve the reputation of the company

•Managing relationships with any PR agencies/consultants

Candidate Background

•Extensive experience in PR and Media

•Very strong digital PR experience

•Creditability in the PR industry

•Knowledge of luxury retail and wider fashion industry

•Excellent communication skills and attention to details

•Ability to manage teams

•Strong ability to think through, plan, and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

•Strong leadership and management skills

£55,000 per annum plus bonus

Carter Murray have been instructed on a brand-new Media Relations Manager vacancy with a leading UK energy brand. This role would suit an experienced Media Relations professional, ideally with experience in the energy field who wants to help tell this company’s story.

This is a newly created role where you will be responsible for driving media relations performance for the retail business and on corporate topics, both proactively and reactively.

You will work closely with the wider communications team, including digital, brand and marketing and will help manage external agencies to provide integrated communications support.

Responsibilities

As the Media Relations Manager you will:

  • Report into the Senior Media Relations Manager for Customers and Corporate as well as working directly with the Director of Communications.
  • Provide advice and guidance on earned communications.
  • Identify risks that could impact the company’s reputation.
  • Support the delivery of the company’s media strategy.
  • Deliver excellent stakeholder management to the media and senior leadership.
  • Be proactive, taking leadership of opportunities to elevate our communications.
  • Be able to demonstrate your PR work’s value using appropriate KPIs and data.
  • Know how to manage a crisis.

Skills & Experiences

  • Strong public relations experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Experience of working in a PR agency to Account Manager level.
  • First class communication skills (written and oral).
  • Excellent influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector.
  • Experience of communicating complex topics for consumer audiences.
  • Keen interest in current affairs and UK politics.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • High ethical standards, with experience of working with confidential and politically sensitive information.

My client is a leading luxury retail business who are looking for a Public Relations expert who can take responsibility for delivering high impact results, delivering footfall, awareness and spend. This should be driven through supporting press and clients with strategic editorials and activations. Helping to grow customer acquisition, reach and awareness across the regions.

Key Responsibilities

•The position is to act as an ambassadorial role in London developing their network and growing their awareness across Private Clients and Press

•Responsible for implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive media relations, wider press and VIP plans to drive segmented and targeted results.

•Helping to support an active Press Office team dedicated to drive proactive media relations in line with the national strategy – developing proactive outreach and mapping out new opportunities.

•Curating traction with opinion leaders to grow their advocacy, increase awareness, reach and add to the customer acquisition strategy

•Development of media relations campaigns

•Proactively pitching relevant media stories to press on a day-to-day basis and meeting press and VIPs in London

•Proactively pitching relevant media stories to press on a day-to-day basis and meeting press and VIPs in London

•Collating press coverage and results for all activities created with comprehensive AAR reports

•Liaising with the PR agency to create press worthy assets

The ideal candidate will have extensive agency or client-side experience gained within retail/luxury.
