Dove & Milo Casting are seeking Teen Girls of East Asian heritage (and their Mothers) for a Dove Girls Self-Esteem Initiative!

Looking For:

  • Mothers with Female identifying Teen daughters 12-17 yrs old 
  • Looking for Mom and Daughter duos of East Asian Heritage including but not limited to Chinese, Filipino, Thai, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc 
  • Mom and Daughter are NOT actors or models and have no prior professional experience in front of the camera. 
  • Looking for teen girls (and their mothers) willing to speak honestly about the unrealistic beauty standards perpetuated in social media and elsewhere.  
  • Particularly interested in teen girls who spend time on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat. They like to play around with filters for fun, or perhaps they or others they know have felt pressure to use beauty filters to feel better about themselves.

Mother-Daughter duos will be paid $1000+ for the shoot day, plus additional fees for usage fees if featured in the final campaign.

We are starting to cast the Afghanistan scenes for The Old Man.

We are starting to test on Monday, and we will try on Weds to start work for the season, which begins on Monday, March 21st.  

We are starting with casting men and hiring people to work throughout the season. One of those situations where we will release a large pool of people and check with you when we get shooting schedules. This will work intermittently for the next few months in Santa Clarita. The call times will probably be early on this show because we have so much to shoot.

is forcing her to abandon all that she knows. With an adolescent rebelliousness flowing through her, she
doesn’t like to communicate directly and puts on a different face around her father, yet craves his
words of comfort and affirmation,

An immigrant from China, Tom is a soft-spoken, stoic father. Despite his inability to express his.
Emotions showcase his vulnerability; there lies a deep current of feelings underneath his facade
of indifference. Despite caring for her deeply, he struggles to show his love for Tess, his daughter.

STORYLINE:
A quiet teenage girl and her immigrant father struggle to come to terms with moving to a new city.

OTHER NOTES:

This is an NYU Graduate project, 1-2 rehearsals will be required before shooting and scheduled around the actor’s availability. Meals, transportation, and footage for use aon actor reels will be pronded. Self-tapes will be required if selected to audition

This production requires 100% fully vaccinated actors and crews unless a qualifying medical or religious exemption exists.

WHERE: NASHVILLE AREA (only accepting submissions from Nashville area locals)

WHEN: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15TH (must be completely open. I will not have the call time until the day prior)

RATE: $80.00 for 8 hours (8-hour guarantee + time and a half after 8 hours) must be able to commit to being on set for 12+ hours. We may not need you that long, but we must be able to save to that.

WHO: ALL GENDERS & ETHNICITIES 18-80 years of age to play “CHURCH PATRONS.”

Please note this will require a pre-employment Covid test on March 14th. NO FITTING IS REQUIRED.
