POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a visionary Creative Director with strong beauty experience to lead our creative team in crafting compelling and innovative visual narratives for our health and beauty brands. As Creative Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of creative development, including design, photography, and video editing and directing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty through captivating visual storytelling across various channels. From developing concept boards to directing photo shoots and video productions, you will ensure that our creative output reflects the essence of our brand and captivates our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Direction:

We’re on a mission to create the world’s most irresistible travel brand and are searching for a talented, cutting-edge, innovative, resourceful, sea-based entertainment rock star to help make that a reality. Entertainment onboard our ladyships is one of the key elements to executing a brilliant sailor experience, so are you up to the task?

The Assistant Stage Manager is responsible for being an integral part of the onboard stage management team – serving as a show-caller swing in our two main venues as well as owning the operation of our signature parties and Scarlet Night. We entrust our ASM to run a tight ship and maintain the quality of performance experiences, which is key to the success of the overall entertainment program onboard our Lady Ships. This is a complex, multifaceted assignment where creativity, strong management skills, and exquisite communication chops are the keys to success.

What You Will Be Up To:

  • Learn to call and run all shows and experiences onboard and serve as the primary stage manager at least once every other week on all large events in order to stay fresh on the operations of various venues
  • Serve as the primary stage manager for Scarlet Night, our signature event onboard each voyage
  • Support and/or lead all rehearsals as needed, including understudy rehearsals, brush-ups, safety-related contingency rehearsals and circus training sessions
  • Support all cast changeovers as well as put-ins and reblocks
  • Support the maintenance of the artistic integrity of each production as originally set by the creative team
  • Support the creation and updating of prompt scripts, protocols, SOPs, and applicable production paperwork including but not limited to technician run sheets, cast, costume & props tracking and other show/party/happening specific documents
  • Serve as regular late-night management coverage for the programming onboard in our nightclub and at our parties
  • Install and call our Festival Stage shows which are only onboard for short stints of time
  • Contribute to nightly show reports as well as voyage reports to shipboard and shoreside teams
  • Work closely with onboard entertainment management on the cast and entertainment technical crew scheduling
  • Work closely with the Entertainment Technical Manager and entertainment technical crew to ensure that design elements are functional and show ready
  • Shadow backstage technician and wardrobe tracks and be able to fill in for those roles in contingency situations
  • Assist in the scheduling and venue availability of all spaces onboard
  • Assist with the operations of circles onboard as well as full ship charters
  • Support the inventorying and ordering of Show, Party and Happening consumables
  • Attend department meetings

  • interacting with VIP and Rockstar sailors, welcoming, greeting and following up throughout the voyage on sailor requests as instructed by the Entertainment Director
  • You will be a ‘Safety Firster’ supporting the entertainment leadership with drill excuses.
  • Understand and follow our brand’s quality assurance standards and provide Rockstar Service

Superpowers Required:

  • Minimum of a years’ experience as a stage manager in professional non-profit or commercial theater
  • Minimum of a year of complex show calling
  • Experience running rehearsals and put-ins
  • Experience with automation systems and performer flying a plus
  • Circus stage management is a plus
  • Event management experience is a plus
  • Cruise ship experience is an asset, but not required
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle several operations at once
  • Strong knowledge of key business tools (MS Office, Google Apps, etc.)
  • A self-starter, who can roll up their sleeves and make ship happen with little supervision

ABOUT THE POSITION

The job of the Creative Director is to lead, manage, and inspire our growing team of art directors, graphic designers, production artists, writers, and other creative professionals in our Experience Department — a blend of our creative and customer/user experience disciplines. The ideal candidate is an experienced Creative Director with a strong art direction, campaign development, and strategic background. This role will oversee the development and execution of creative initiatives and is responsible for the quality of work they produce. They will work closely with user experience team members within the Experience Department. They will be responsible for the quality and timeliness of work, such as websites, advertisements, printed design materials, brand identity work, marketing campaigns, and other initiatives. They will understand the client’s business regarding design communications, both internally and externally, from the ideation phase to execution. The Creative Director will understand the Client’s business model, business objectives, KPIs, and competitive environment.

This position should understand current design, technology, and media pertinent to marketing and advertising. This position is expected to work collaboratively with Imaginuity’s internal media team, account management team, SEO team, social media team, and the various subject matter experts across both traditional and digital. The Creative Director will work with the Executive Creative Director to develop a strategic vision that meets client and internal stakeholder objectives. This individual will be instrumental in supporting the Executive Creative Director in advocating for the internal approval of this vision. They’ll possess the ability to communicate this vision and strategy clearly to inspire internal teams to produce deliverables that are authentic, meaningful, and resonate with our customers. WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, visual arts or a related field

The Creative Art Director should be a conceptual thinker who passionately delivers amazing creative brand experiences for both clients and internal initiatives. The selected candidate will support a strong team and is highly skilled in defining and executing design styles based on brand planning and strategy. Key Competencies & Responsibilities:

  • Support the agency’s design workflow and delivery of all creative projects in unison all other departments (marketing, digital, web, and media);
  • Shows leadership qualities and provides team motivation and inspiration while clearly communicating the artistic vision and values of the agency to all team members;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time while managing time efficiently;
  • Ability to concept and design for a wide range of mediums and diverse industries;

  • Ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to assure visuals, earnings, growth, and agency goals are achieved;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source potential vendors; including caterers, audio-visual production companies, staffing agencies, etc. and prepare evaluations based on quality, price and professionalism
  • Manage and organize the production of the HangarFour Events quarterly department newsletter
  • Organize and maintain all storage inventories and electronic files
  • Research and update team on new venues, vendors and products in key markets
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas regarding event concepts
  • Assist in creation, design and writing of copy for event proposal decks
  • Source poignant reference images and construct eye-catching mood boards
  • Create, organize and maintain client contact sheets and other documents
  • Coordinate onsite event logistics including venue and client relations, quality control, talent and brand ambassador wrangling, personnel and vendor supervision, transportation, scenic installations, florals, décor, catering, lighting sound
  • Assist onsite builds, event load-in and load-out
  • Administrative coordination including scheduling, booking hotels & flights, organization of departmental assets and other tech support
  • Maintain brand integrity for both the client and the firm

  • 3+ years of event production/production management

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 10+ years of experience on major brands (5-7+ years working in an ad or design agency, with at least 4 years in leadership)
  • Previous experience in a Design Director, Creative Director, Associate Design Director, or Associate Creative Director role
  • A strong body of work in both interactive design and multi-disciplinary conceptual creative, with an emphasis on integrated campaigns, visual identity systems, social, and quality user-centered web and digital products
  • A desire to mentor art directors and designers in their growth
  • Impeccable taste, eye for typography, and detail-oriented approach to design
  • A hybrid background in design & advertising (video, print, digital, visual identity, etc.)
