CASTING REAL OUTDOORSY TYPES FOR COMMERCIAL — PAYS $1500

We’re casting outdoors-loving people for a commercial filming in the Pittsburgh area Nov. 1-3. 

These are overnight shoots, so you have to be available from dusk until dawn on your filming day. 

You must be able to work as a local hire — there is no mileage or transportation reimbursement for this job. You’ll also need reliable vehicle to get to set in Pittsburgh’s suburbs.

Specifically, we’re looking for: 

• ADULTS AGES 20-40: We’re looking for a diverse mix of races, ethnicities, and body types. People with physical disabilities are encouraged to submit.
• CHILDREN AGES 8-10: We’re hoping for a diverse group of children, as well.

The most important thing is that you’re the kind of person who spends their free time camping, hiking, or doing other outdoor activities. You’ll have to talk about that in your self-taped audition.

Major Tobacco Brand Docu-Style Spot

We’re seeking to cast 20 featured background for this docu-style spot for a Major Tobacco Brand to portray friends. Should be stylish but not showy, confident, interesting, and represent Philly culture. Session: $400 – including 2 hour fitting plus still and video capture Usage: $1,000 / Unlimited Use, Unlimited Time / Stills & Video (Company Website and mail in promos ONLY) + 10% agency fee where applicable NON-UNION Dates: 1-2 days between Nov 2nd-5th Background do NOT have to be smokers, but should feel comfortable being around smoke.

Unsinkable Casting Call

SEEKING 8-10 YEAR OLD GIRL TO BE PHOTODOUBLE IN FEATURE FILM! RATE: $200

• We’re looking for a white girl, age 8-10, with blonde or strawberry blonde hair (can be wavy or straight and long enough to pull back) to be a photodouble on “Unsinkable,” which films on Wed, Oct. 20 in the Pittsburgh area.
• This will be a late afternoon/evening shoot, so she won’t have to miss school.

Netflix Feature Film, The Pale Blue Eye, seeking paid extras in Pittsbugh.

Starring Oscar winner Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, The Fighter) and Harry Melling (The Queen’s Gambit). Directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Out of the Furnace)

The Pale Blue Eye takes place in 1830 at a military academy where a veteran detective attempts to solve a series of murders with help from a cadet who will later become world famous author, Edgar Allen Poe.

Seeking:

• Seeking Men ages 18 – 45 to portray cadets and officers.
• Experience with marching or drills is a plus or military (former or active), guard, reserves, ROTC, police, marching bands, dancers, runners, etc. are encouraged to apply.

Important Info:

• Filming in Pittsburgh Weekdays from end of November to mid-February. Pay is $168 for 12 hours. Expect 12 hour work-days. We need men with great availability to work 5 – 12 days in that timespan.
• There will be a mandatory bootcamp on 11/22 and 11/23 to learn marches and drills.
• Covid Testing with production will be required prior to bootcamp, fitting and scheduled work dats, Covid Testing pays $50 when not working.
• Men will be expected to let their hair and sideburns grow. Our hair and makeup team will trim to match the time period. Must be willing to shave facial hair, if needed.
• No face, neck, chest or hand tattoos. No visible piercings. Lean builds. Physiques were slim in the 1830s. Suit sizes 36-42 and waists 30 – 36.

This production of The Pale Blue Eye is committed to the safety and well-being of all team members, both in front of and behind the camera, by implementing careful health and safety protocols in line with the film industry standard for a safe workplace for all personnel, this production will require all performing artists (including background talent) and crew members in the performance zone to be vaccinated, and to provide proof to the health and safety department before their first day of work.
