We are in search of a Product Marketing Manager based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He/She/They will be part of a dynamic, creative, innovative and impactful team that is responsible for driving brand awareness, growth, engagement and retention for Viki and our global audience.

This role will be based in San Mateo, CA and report to Director, Brand & Product Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help shape, design and implement the strategy, messaging and positioning for the Viki service in key markets and regions
  • Partner with strategy & biz ops team to define GTM marketing strategy for key business initiatives & priorities including (bot not limited to) subscription plan offerings, feature launches and building out our publishing business
  • Define and continue to iterate Viki’s most important customer needs and opportunities, staying attuned to the competitive landscape, market trends and white space opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing channel owners and PMs to drive GTM plans and measure impact post-launch
  • Effectively communicate and advocate our consumer needs and voice internally and externally
  • Drive continued awareness, adoption and engagement of our product and features
  • Build a customer journey map to deepen our understanding of our users and their experience across the Viki journey to create an overall better experience and increase engagement/retention

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business, Data Analytics, Advertising or equivalent business experience in marketing preferred
  • 2+ years of product marketing work experience
  • Experience with data-driven user segmentation principles and conducting experiments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate insights and data into a compelling and meaningful story
  • A champion at cross functional collaboration, having worked across teams and functions and has had success in influencing projects
  • A passionate self-starter who can serve as a strong advocate for our customers and our business
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic and fast paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and passion for Asian entertainment (K-pop, J-pop, Korean dramas etc.)

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base salary for this role will be between $78,624 – $125,216. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. We are partnered with an entertainment startup listed on the London Stock Exchange. Established in 1999, this business has experienced extensive growth and is looking to enhance its organic search function by bringing its efforts in-house with its first SEO hire.

Working alongside the Marketing Director you will have an entrepreneurial mindset and be committed to developing an SEO function underneath you and a passion for cars would be the cherry on top (but not essential)!

The SEO Manager will:

  • Work closely with the Marketing and IT team to be the key point person for SEO and website optimisation.

  • Experience with retail media platforms such as Amazon, and experience driving performance and optimization of products within the Amazon advertising ecosystem. Experience leveraging Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) for advanced insights is ideal

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead on the creative for Paid Social and YouTube alongside our creative agency and internal design team, ensuring it is in line with the strategic plan and delivers consistency across all marketing channels. Including producing creative/design briefs, writing copy, and updating both our internal and agency plans accordingly.
  • Track and report on spend and KPIs, reviewing performance and making optimisation recommendations as required.
  • Creating monthly budget reports and ensuring budget pacing from our agency aligns with the plan.
  • Manage the YouTube content for the team, including uploading new videos, and making sure brand videos are up to date and viewable.
  • Work with our CRM team and agency to develop our audiences, looking for opportunities to drive performance improvements as well as keeping the audience lists up to date in the various platforms.
  • Produce regular updates for the business on our performance marketing activity, including making the data and updates easily understood by those with different areas of expertise.
  • Take ownership of the affiliate programme.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience managing Paid Search campaigns, including Google Ads or Microsoft Ads.
  • Experience in at least one of the following: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads Manager and Pinterest Ads Manager
  • Google Analytics (GA360 or GA4)
  • Analytical with strong Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, including being confident presenting to the wider marketing team
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills

Preferred additional skills / experience:

  • Retail / Ecommerce background
  • Experience in other Performance Marketing channels
  • SA360 (From a client perspective running reports and viewing the account)
  • GA4 (including having completed GA4 training)

This position is of critical importance, as this individual will be responsible for leading the development of Commercial operational processes, strategy, and analytics. The overall objective of the role is to lead the design and execution of primary research that spans multiple products and indications as a contributor for the Market Insights and Analytics team. He/she will be responsible for delivering high quality business insights for Sun’s current and future product decision making. Responsibilities include vendor management, development, planning and management of primary market research studies, integration of secondary data insights and presentation of insights to cross-functional teams. She/He will serve as an internal consultant to marketing by providing meaningful and actionable strategic insights, thereby helping key internal stakeholders make informed strategic decisions. This individual will collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Commercial Effectiveness, IT, Patient Services, Legal, Compliance) to accomplish the responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a strategic partner to the commercial teams to lead the design and delivery of high quality, actionable business insights by conducting market research projects in support of pipeline, prelaunch, and inline products
  • Lead in-depth situation analyses and SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) of relevant disease areas in support of the annual brand planning process
  • Lead strategic insights workshops to convert data from primary or secondary market research projects to insights and to answer Key Business Questions (KBQs)
  • Co-lead annual forecasting cycle working closely with forecasting team
  • Create and manage budgets for the brands

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • At least 4+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience
  • Knowledge of secondary data analytics & forecasting, and consulting experience are a plus
  • Experience working with third party data such as IQVIA, Symphony Health, other claims and EMR
  • Additional experience in Consulting, Managed care, Marketing, or sales is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and be well versed in Microsoft Office applications
