Day 1 of ‘We Strangers’ (our next feature film) is Monday, 2-27!

Another fun project to be a part of. We will have more posts later. Not many extras on this one. One of the Producers you may recall from ‘Crafted For Christmas’. In addition, several crew from the big TV shows in town. Filming will take place in the South Suburbs of Chicago and Gary, Indiana, for a change.
Cast members have been selected. 

All we need this day is a little African American Girl 5–7 years old (to look 5 years old). 
This film is paying the standard extra rate of $150 for minors. $20 stipend for bringing a girl’s bicycle and helmet. She needs to have both a bike and wear a helmet.

Needs to be already work permitted or able to get one by this Friday. If not permitted yet or needs to be renewed, include that in your email so we can get you our Letter of Intent. It is a long process.

We also need to match a Dad ($123.20 for up to 8 hours)—African American Male 30–50 years old. If the ‘real’ dad is also submitting, will need an adult (18 or older) to be your child’s guardian.
There will be a Teacher on set for her.

Responsibilities

The Executive Producer will provide creative oversight, management, and editorial leadership for “This Week”. The Executive Producer:

  • Oversees and directs the execution of “This Week”, including “This Week” branded content produced special programming on Hulu and ABC News Live.
  • Works closely with the “This Week” team and the ABC News Washington Bureau to expand the “This Week” brand across new platforms and opportunities.
  • Manages relationships with ABC News’ political contributors, who support the show, in coordination with ABC News talent executives.
  • Leads the development of the booking strategy for “This Week” and supports key relationships with the White House, Capitol Hill, and federal departments and agencies to facilitate competitive guest bookings for the show.
  • In collaboration with peer executives, develops and implements a content strategy for “This Week” that attracts and engages diverse audiences across all platforms.
  • Champions an innovative, highly collaborative, diverse culture that promotes idea generation, open communication, respect for others, and excellence.
  • Executes strategies to meet established goals/objectives to drive ratings, audience, and revenue.
  • Sets short and long-term objectives to achieve budgetary goals.

The Stage Manager I position supports Studio & Remote productions activities. The Stage Manager will be the eyes and ears for the Director in the studio and on stage for remote productions, relaying specific direction to talent and the technical crew. Ensure that all sets are in place and that production positions are staffed. Anticipate, and troubleshoot if necessary, problems that may arise in the studio during a production and alert the Director to any of these potential issues. Communicate any rundown changes and how they may affect camera blocking and talent positions in the studio.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversees an assigned studio. Ensures that the Director has all materials and equipment needed to direct the production. Ensures that sets are in place and working; and that needed studio positions are staffed.

  • Ensures talent needs are met in terms of equipment, including iPads, proper chairs, pens/papers, mirrors.

  • Arranges the positioning of floor monitors based on talent locations.

  • Participates in pre-production activities.

  • Coordinates with and ensures the availability of assigned talent and guests.

  • Assists the Director with studio floor management activities; controls the live or live-to-tape aspects of productions.

  • Identifies and reports issues with studios and production staff to the appropriate organizational unit; follows-up to ensure the resolution of identified studio operation issues.

  • Ensures compliance of assigned tasks with established standard operating procedures.

  • Oversees the management and distribution of studio props.

  • Sends out daily communication of Stage Manager coverage.

  • Practices and maintains the performance standards as they apply to leadership, communication, operations, personal development and productions, and consistently perform all of the duties and functions required of the role of Stage Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be highly motivated, willing to work unusual hours and must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to meet ever-changing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a major market or at the network level

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
