MODEL CASTING CALL

Harlem Fashion Week, one of the most prestigious fashion events in the industry, is seeking talented and diverse models for their upcoming showcase. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a dynamic and inclusive fashion experience that celebrates the richness of Harlem’s culture and style.

As a model for Harlem Fashion Week, you will have the chance to showcase cutting-edge designs from renowned designers, collaborate with industry professionals, and gain exposure to a wide audience of fashion enthusiasts, influencers, and media representatives. This casting call is open to experienced models and aspiring talents looking to enter the fashion industry.

  • Models of all genders, ethnicities, shapes, and sizes are encouraged to apply.
  • Age requirement: 18 years and above.
  • Prior runway or modeling experience is preferred but optional.
  • Must be available for fittings, rehearsals, and the entire duration of Harlem Fashion Week.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence, poise, and the ability to project a strong runway presence.
  • Professional attitude and the ability to follow instructions.

BAD ENGLISH CASTING CALL

Film Title: Bad English

Shoot Location: Los Angeles, CA

Callback Date with Director: July 20-24 (1 day – TBC in LA or via Zoom)

Rehearsal/Wardrobe Fitting Dates: July 28-August 1 (1-3 days – TBC in LA)

Shoot Dates: August 2-8 (each role shoots 1-5 days)

Contract: SAG-AFTRA / AFI Short-Form Film Participant Agreement

Talent Rate: $216/day for principal roles

Logline:

  • A newly single Korean American woman tries to retake her son’s first school picture with her two sisters.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN FOR PRINCIPAL (SPEAKING) ROLES:

NOAH (Korean-American Male, Age 6-10) First grader and only child to a single parent. Sensitive and emotionally mature creative type who can quickly read the room. Infatuated by the ocean and sea creatures. Doesn’t have many friends at school, but it doesn’t bother him. (LEAD ROLE)

JEAN (Korean Female, Age 27-35) The chic and charming youngest sister. Fierce, stubborn and opinionated. Enjoys the finer things in life. Prefers red wine over soju. Likes to go shopping in her free time with her husband’s credit card. *Must be fluent in Korean* (SUPPORTING ROLE)

YUNA (Korean Female, Age 36-40) The reserved and resilient eldest sister. A conservative, proud, and protective over-thinker. Doesn’t want to cause any trouble. Keeps to herself. First to move to the states with her husband. *Must be fluent in Korean* (SUPPORTING ROLE)

MR. PETERS (Caucasian Male, Age 35-45) Noah’s public school first grade teacher. Naturally good with children but has too many students in his class – not good with their names. New to the school and worn out by the end of the day. (DAY PLAYER)
