Sköna is seeking a multidisciplinary art director and designer to join our creative team in the San Francisco office. You come up with great ideas and design stunning creative for branding, campaigns, events, and digital media. You excel at developing brands, think holistically about brand experiences, and are equipped to elevate our designs for the B2B tech space. You also need to be a team player, inspiring the creative team, oversee design from concept to design to production on multiple simultaneous projects, and work well across disciplines and offices.Â

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Push our agency and clients in creating forward-thinking creative
- Interpret brand strategy into the development of visual brand systems
- Concept and design for a wide range of materials that include digital, print, & outdoor advertising media, direct mail, web pages, presentations, collateral, signage, trade show booths, internal communication, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Create and extend high-quality design and assets within an established brand identity
- Take concepts, and execute original content, from design through production
- Collaborate with digital UX, producers and developers to extend brand concepts to website experiences
- Have oversight and accountability of design projects from start to finish
- Stay on top of design trends, and connect with the design community
- Represent the agency’s creative ‘product’ – present concepts and ideas to clients
Requirements
- 6+ years of proven experience in graphic design, branding, digital design & advertising, with a portfolio that showcases a breadth of design work that drive business results
- Expert proficiency in Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Sketch, Invision, Google Suite
- Excellent proficiency in print and digital production, web design concepts (grids, wireframes, UI/UX, etc)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills that works well with a multidisciplinary teamÂ
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills and an ability to sell your work to clientsÂ
- Passionate about the field of branding, design and advertising, and up-to-date with new design technologies and trends
- Motion (After Effects, Premiere), Web prototyping (Principle), 3D-modeling (Cinema 4-D), Illustration, photography, or copywriting experience a plus
- Creative problem solver and can-do attitude
- B2B experience and agency experience both a plus

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Heavy scheduling, coordinating and organizing phone calls and meetings, documents distribution, emails, etc.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, etc.
- Ability to redline and update/finalize documents is required

The Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation operates a 4,000-foot state of the art exhibition area that highlights prints, paintings, and sculptures of the most important American artists of our time!
These shows have been available by appointment to various groups over the last two years. We now feel that it would serve the community to open the exhibition space to the public several days a week. Therefore, we are looking for someone who loves contemporary art and can help arrange school groups, art groups, and seniors, as well as be there during open hours on dates to be determined. This individual should have an art history background and is someone who likes people and enjoys hosting these groups in the exhibition space.
The Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation has been building its art collection since the 1970’s. it now consists of thousands of prints, paintings, and sculptures of major artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Jasper Johns, Ellsworth Kelly, Frank Stella, David Hockney, Hank Willis Thomas, Jeffrey Gibson, Vanessa German, Alison Saar, Judy Chicago, Leonardo Drew, and Jim Dine to name a few. The 4,000-foot exhibition space usually exhibits 80-120 works of art, and it is attached to the 52,000-foot warehouse where eleven art professionals work maintaining and managing the collection.
The Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation has also been instrumental in loaning works for sole exhibitions from its collections to 120 museums. All these exhibitions are loaned at no cost. In 2022, we had twenty openings around the country such as Global Asias, 18 Asian artists, Kara Walker, premiere Black artist of our time, Art of Food, twenty-five artists with food in their art, Marie Watt, amazing Native American artist, and others.
Essential Job Duties:
- Front of house support greeting visitors.
- Schedule and coordinate visits with Portland-area arts and/or community institutions.
- Assist in coordinating gallery events/opening receptions (outside normal business hours).
- Ability to give informed exhibition tour.
- General administrative support.
Education/Experience/Certifications:
- Degree art history or equivalent experience in related field is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

POSITION SUMMARY //
We are looking for an experienced Experiential designer who is passionate about integrating art, storytelling, and brand expression into the built environment. Someone who can strategically conceptualize a whole project, as well as design individual custom elements. We are looking for someone creative and energetic with a good understanding of architecture, art, and fabrication. Projects are multifaceted and highly collaborative, so a self-driven, organized, cooperative, and flexible attitude is necessary.
SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS //
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in architecture, art fabrication, exhibit design, industrial design, or interior design
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Ability to quickly communicate concept ideas through sketches, diagrams, mood boards, and collage
• Strong ability for written and verbal communication, including client presentations
• Experienced in 3D modeling a must. Rhino preferred
• Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite
• Highly collaborative attitude and experience working with other designers, architects, project managers, graphic designers, engineers, fabricators, lighting designers, and clients

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Take a design brief and turn it into exciting, layered and strategic concept design
• Blend together environmental graphic design, 3D design, experiential design, art curation, spatial design and, wayfinding, and develop and deliver these ideas with the project team
• Prepare design decks and present to clients confidently, and passionately
• Listen and synthesize client feedback effectively, guide the team in completing work inline with client needs and wants
• Plan, manage, and complete project tasks from concepts through design documents and coordination with the engineering, fabrication, and installation teams
• Work as part of a larger design team, closely with the Creative Director and senior leadership
• Manage multiple design projects at various stages of development
• Collaborate with leadership, engineers, fabricators, and other designers to develop realistic solutions while maintaining a strong design aesthetic
• Develop creative design solutions that are in line with project goals and understand their impact on cost, production, and other variables
• Prepare graphic presentations for client review, and present work articulately

• 3D model designs, and create renderings and other project visualizations for clients and
