This program offers a unique opportunity for artists from various mediums and nationalities to engage in creative exploration, collaboration, and cultural exchange in the vibrant city of Dakar, Senegal.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage actively in the residency program, which includes dedicated time for artistic creation and development.
- Participate in community activities, including workshops, exhibitions, and cultural exchange events.
- Collaborate with other artists and local communities, contributing to a dynamic creative environment.
- Document and present your artistic journey and outcomes at the end of the residency.
Requirements:
- Open to artists of all mediums (painting, sculpture, photography, film, writing, etc.).
- Artists from all nationalities are encouraged to apply.
- A demonstrated track record of artistic work and achievement.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the residency.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with diverse cultures.
Compensation:
- Artists will be provided with studio space, living accommodations, and a stipend to cover living expenses during the residency.
- Travel expenses to and from Senegal will be covered.
