Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our casting department for the winter/spring season. The ideal candidate will be immersed in the world of casting for musical theater, plays, film, television, and commercials. This is a hybrid role that will require both in-office and remote work in NYC.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and organizing audition sessions.
  • Maintain regular contact with actors, agents, managers, and other entertainment professionals.
  • Answer phones and handle inquiries related to casting.
  • Conduct research to support casting decisions.
  • Work directly with Casting Directors, Associates, and Assistants to review agent submissions.
  • Create lists and assist in the selection process for auditions.
  • Provide support in and out of the audition room.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities which may include script reading, talent scouting, and administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a casting office or agency is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of musical theater, plays, film/television, commercials, and pop culture.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
