Job Description

A non-union video project filming in Los Angeles is seeking distinctive character actors and performers with unique, expressive looks for a creative production directed by a well-known artist/director. Multiple roles are available, including eccentric party guests, stylized characters, a waiter, and older twin or sister performers. Some roles involve prosthetics, while others call for strong character presence, distinctive facial features, movement skills, or a specific period-inspired look.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform an assigned character role in a professional video production.
  • Bring distinctive personality, physicality, and expressive on-camera presence to the project.
  • Follow creative direction from the director and production team.
  • Wear and perform comfortably in prosthetics when required for the assigned role.
  • Participate in character movement or dancing when required.
  • Maintain professionalism and character consistency throughout filming.

Requirements

  • Waiter / Little Person: Male, ages 50s–60s; little person with balding hair to portray a waiter.
  • Devil Man: Male, ages 30–50; devilish, cartoon-like features with an evil, mischievous, charming presence; must be comfortable in prosthetics.
  • Sweaty Man / Party Guest: Male, ages 40–60; dark hair with distinctive, exaggerated features, including a prominent nose and eyes; highly expressive face.
  • Men With Long Noses: Two males, ages 35–55; character actors with surreal or unusual looks who are comfortable wearing prosthetics.
  • 1950s Party Guest: Male, ages 25–35; handsome, suave, grounded presence with a classic 1950s look; must be comfortable performing the Charleston with guidance from a movement director.
  • Old Lady Twins / Sisters: Two older women who are twins, sisters, or strongly resemble one another; real twins or sisters preferred, but individually matched performers may be considered.
  • Must be comfortable working on a non-union production.
  • Must be able to work in Los Angeles.

Compensation

  • $450 for 12 hours.

Casting is looking for an accomplished Black dancer with a striking, naturally mature presence who can portray an old-school performer with years of experience, authority, and wisdom. The character should feel direct and respected while viewing the featured musician as a student rather than a celebrity.

Job Responsibilities
