Job Description
A college-campus scene for the upcoming film Pretty Ugly is casting background actors to portray college students. Filming will take place in Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas, and talent must be fully available for the scheduled date. You’ll help create an authentic academic atmosphere as part of a vibrant, youthful backdrop.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray a college student in on-campus scenes

• Follow on-set direction and remain in character throughout takes

• Contribute to the realism of classroom and campus environments

• Maintain continuity across multiple shots and camera angles

Requirements

• All genders, all ethnicities, ages 18+

• Must be local to Wilmington, NC or able to self-report

• Fully available for the scheduled shoot date with no scheduling conflicts

• Comfortable working early call times, as early as 6 a.m.

Compensation

• $80 flat rate per day

• 1099 background actor engagement

Traveler – Feature Film Extra

Job Description
A new feature film needs adventurous traveler extras to populate lively college-campus scenes. You’ll add authentic atmosphere while moving through background action at Brunswick Community College. Local hires only, and flexibility is essential to meet early call times and possible schedule shifts.

Job Responsibilities

• Walk through designated marks to create realistic campus foot traffic

• React naturally to on-camera action while staying aware of lens direction

• Maintain continuity for multiple takes and camera setups

• Follow AD instructions to keep production running smoothly

Requirements

• All genders, all ethnicities, ages 18+

• Available for the full shoot day with no outside commitments

• Able to self-report to Brunswick County set by 6 a.m. call time

• Comfortable standing, walking, and repeating actions as needed

Compensation

• $80 flat day rate (background performer)

Doctor – Hospital Scenes (Background)

An upcoming feature film seeks two seasoned background doctors to bring authenticity to hospital scenes shooting in Wilmington and surrounding areas. You’ll embody a confident medical professional, elevating the realism of fast-paced set pieces for the production “Pretty Ugly.” Call times may begin as early as 6 a.m., and flexibility is essential to match shifting schedules.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray a credible physician in operating-room and ward environments

• Follow director and AD directions to hit precise marks for camera and lighting

• Maintain consistent continuity between takes for seamless editing

• Collaborate with cast and crew while upholding a calm, professional presence

Requirements

• All genders and races, appearing 30 +

• Comfortable wearing provided lab coats/scrubs and medical props

• Fully available for the designated shoot day; no conflicting engagements

• Local hire or able to self-report to Wilmington set by early morning call time

Compensation

• $80 flat day rate (background)
