Job Details: CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) is thrilled to announce its partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the CAPE Animation Directors Accelerator (CADA) program. This groundbreaking initiative is dedicated to discovering and empowering the next generation of animation storytellers and leaders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with industry experts, executives, and creatives in the animation field through a series of panels, workshops, and masterclasses.
  • Develop and refine artistic and leadership skills crucial for success in feature film and episodic animation.
  • Participate in mentorship sessions to gain valuable insights and guidance from seasoned professionals.
  • Create and present projects that showcase your directorial vision and storytelling abilities.
  • Network with fellow rising animation directors to build lasting connections within the industry.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated passion and talent for animation with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Prior experience in animation or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven interest in API (Asian and Pacific Islander) cultures and a commitment to amplifying API voices in animation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • This is a non-paid program; participation is voluntary.
  • However, selected animation directors will gain invaluable experience, mentorship, and industry exposure through this unique opportunity.
  • Participants will receive a certificate of completion from CAPE and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
