POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the in-house creative team, the Art Director will be responsible for creation and production of all brand creative assets across the marketing mix to ensure consistency in brand standards, design, copy and visual language for the Carl’s Jr. brand.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
May perform any or all of the following duties:
- Design in alignment to new and evolving brand standards with emphasis on modern design principles and brand consistency.
- Translate marketing strategies into innovative creative that stimulate targeted audiences and ensure brand and business goals are met.
- Understand merchandising and design within a retail space ensuring consistency in visual language across multiple elements, prioritization of messages based on business objectives and creation of a positive and profitable consumer experience.
- Execute ideas and assist team with various design projects to support the marketing needs of CKE including Retail Signage, Menu, Direct Marketing, Brand Graphics, Seasonal Campaigns, and other marketing communications.
- Manage creative workflow for multiple projects and competing work priorities, demands, and changes in a fast paced work environment.​
- Guide and inspire junior members of the creative team on brand tone and design language as well as direct production artist in executing creative files.
- Continuously explore and apply industry best practices.
- Understand digital landscape and ability to apply design concepts across non print platforms.
- Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Participates in company meetings, webinars and conference calls
- Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
- BA/BS degree in graphic design, advertising or equivalent
- Must possess approximately 10 years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge in related industry.
- Thorough knowledge of print process and production.
- Fully proficient in Adobe Creative (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and final preparation for print.
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various contacts (internal and external)
- Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
- Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information

- Restaurant Support Center fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment
