Pocket.watch is looking for an individual with a passion for digital video who is experienced in YouTube channel management and CMS operations to collaborate with our team to run and grow a network of YouTube channels.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer multiple Content Owners
- Manage channel invitations, onboarding and offboarding
- Configure monetization policies, implement and coordinate content claiming measures
- Calculate and report on YouTube revenues in collaboration with accounting team
- Engage with stakeholders throughout the organization to collect requirements for data reporting
- Generate and share data-driven actionable insights, reports and recommendations
- Package, stage, schedule, and publish videos across multiple channels
- Collaborate with designers and copywriters on video thumbnails, keywords and descriptions
- Investigate and troubleshoot YouTube anomalies
- Develop channel growth and video release strategies and collaborate on cross-platform distribution planning
- Develop, test and implement new strategies for improved channel operations and increased audience reach and engagement
- Engage with creators in collaboration with Creator Management team to convey recommendations and strategies
- Collaborate with team experts to develop, manage and optimize marketing campaigns for research and audience development
- Stay abreast of, and report on the latest platform updates and other factors affecting the video ecosystem
- Research, evaluate and utilize third-party tools to maximize job efficiency
- Contribute to the planning, production and operation of channels and other outlets for content and community
- Help cultivate and coordinate relationships with Google/YouTube
Skills:
- Excellent YouTube analytical and reporting skills, both quantitative and qualitative
- Ability to write copy and develop effective video SEO and packaging strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – ability to translate ideas and insights into reports, presentations, talking points, and other materials
- Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure
- Meticulous attention to quality, detail, and project organization
- Strong research skills and an ability to identify emerging content trends
Qualifications:
- Expert user on YouTube platform, including analytics, and channel and CO administration
- At least two years experience managing a YouTube CMS, publishing videos, and building audiences
- Experience with YouTube Content ID, content claiming, and digital rights management workflows
- Ability to analyze, derive and communicate actionable insights from YouTube data
- Familiarity with, and ability to apply audience growth strategies
- Organized and analytical mindset
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Positive and collaborative attitude
